I have recently been getting worse in my health problems. I suffer mainly from anxiety issues due to phobias and I know that to some this sounds as a cop out but if you have ever had a family member with mental problems then you know what I am talking about.
I also lost my left eye completely to an accident involving needle nose pliers. It was at home off the job and all I had was workmans comp. I am not saying I can't work just because of my eye but it does contribute and I have to take pain management classes for this injury.
I have been trying to get ssi disability because I can't get the full benefits since I worked so many years as a sub-contractor and they didn't get their money. I have already been denied once and my anxiety problems keep me from being able to perform in public without having panic attacks. I now have a phone appointment with the social security office to re-apply and I made an appointment with an attorney that only does disability claims.
My main reason for being upset is that I have been allergic to milk all my life and it caused the enamel to erode off of my teeth at an early age. When I try to get help people just look at me like I am some sort of drug junkie and in fact I am not and have never even had a drug charge. My concern is that we can send out dentists to other countries for free dental care when our own people are suffering with no way of relief and the same with health insurance. I looked into some quotes for Medicaid for one and their deductables were around $5,000 and then only paid about 30 or 40 percent or the medical bills. Then when it came to prescriptions it was just as bad and the monthly premiums for a single person was around $500.00 a month. Before I paid all that I could pay the doctors bills. The saddest part is that all the insurance companies I checked were almost the same. They only want the money and not to help people. Where is our compassion? What if it were your family member being denied medical care. My teeth hurt so badly that I can't bear it sometimes and I need full dentures but no one will help. They won't give me disability when I haven't been able to work for over two years and have doctors reports on my condition. Oh, I finally found a dentist willing to fix my dentures once I was approved for a loan and I hurt so bad I was going to do it until I noticed the interest was 27,9% compounded daily.
If anyone knows of any help for me please help.

Check to see if you have an Aspen Dental near you. They arrange payments that are low and I hear no interest. Also what I have seen is that they have dentures for $250.00. I am not sure how good the dentures are, but it has to be better than bad teeth. I know how you feel. I have always taken care of my teeth, and have had years of dental work, due to cavities when I was in my early teens. So some of my teeth are mostly fillings, so now the sides of the teeth fall off. So in the past I just had them pull instead of cap or root canals, as one root canal they goofed up bad, and it took a couple of years to find out what the problem was, and then that involved surgery, and finally a fake tooth which had to be attached over another tooth. Now with the enamel not good on my teeth, I am getting small black cavities on several of my front teeth. We can't afford dental insurance, and can't afford the cost of dental care. So I go without, so far I only have slight pain, but I am sure in time I will have the problems you are having.
I understand the anxiety, etc. I worked on the anxiety, etc., by myself for years to slowly get myself to go places. It was hard as I have a condition that is very similar to IBS. I believe I would have had a serious phobia if I had not forced myself to go out and about.
Good luck with your disability claim, I hope it goes through for you.

Thank you for your understanding. I will try the Aspen Dental. You have to be careful since so many are scams. One wanted me to get a loan for 28% financing compounded daily. I wish I could become a lawyer, these are the people I would target for life sentence jail terms.

I hear you. Aspen Dental has been in our town now for maybe close to 2 years. There has been commercials on TV about them also. So all one can do is look into it. I know when the time comes I will be going to them, or to our local technical college where I think they have cheaper rates.
Have you looked into your area on dental aid or free dental work. I know in a city about 45 minutes from us, they have them ever so often. Good luck to you.

oh I hear you I am 85 almost and neec a lot of dental work which I cannot afford and my tiny dental insurance only pays like one hundred dollars. but on my general health gap insurance I have secure horizons ever care now I believe its calling itself Untied Health but their ever-care plan is pretty good as they have got some extra plan that cuts down the cost of my many meds so I am pay ing 1.10 one dollar and ten cents per copay on all generic meds that I take which is a god send also no co pay at all for doctors or 'specialists either. see if you can get into United Health ever car e plan as it will help you so much. you need to go to a rehab hospital they will pay all for twenty days there. do call up their agent and talk to them cableman as I think they can help you. I do not know how old you are but if you have social security you should be able to get on United Health on evercare program. let us know. hope it helps
