The Encounter

I recently joined the ChristianCinema.com, which has a DVDs by Mail program for Independent Christian films and Dove Approved films. I'm a total sucker for these kinds of movies, but few huge Rental houses carry them and while I'd love to support these filmmakers and buy every single one on DVD... I can't afford to do that. So I was really excited to find this site! I've got a rental queue 139 movies long. "The Encounter" is #8. Good to see that somebody's already enjoyed it! Hopefully it won't be too long before I get to see it too.

I've watched it three times. When I first came across it I thought it was going to be one of those movies where a guy thinks he's the actual Jesus Christ. However, something prompted me to give it a chance and I did. Needless to say I was astounded, because it brought up everything we sometimes face. Doubt, denial, anger, pride, and forgiveness, and love. It even brought up hatred and sadness of that hatred. It may have been a low budget film, but that is a moot point. The message still gets across. Even now I keep thinking about that movie. I'd like to see another one made.

No I haven't, but I would be curious to know what sort of message it was. Or do I have to watch the movie myself? :)
