School is a place of learning and I truly believe that learning can be fun for everyone. However, many people hate school. I myself hate school. I do not like the lack of freedom. There I am forced to learn what I am not interested in and it upsets me. I prefer to choose what I want to read. How do you like to learn?

In 2010 I started studying psychology online, am I taking a break at the moment, but I plan on continuing my studies in the future. It was the first time that I studied online, and I really liked the freedom that it gave me. I had some assignments that I had to do and I couldn't choose which topics I wanted to study (my teacher decided that) but I had lots of freedom in other ways. I could study any time of the day or the night and I didn't have to study in my home every time. As long as I had access to the internet I was able to study anywhere in the country. It was nice to be able to check my assignments and things like that while I was away from home.

I tend to study as the class progresses. I tend to take notes a lot of the time, both on what the teacher is saying and what I am going to read. There are going to be a lot of times where waiting for exam time to study is going to cause me not to really remember a lot of the time. It is a more leisurely place, as I carefully spoon the information into my mind bit by bit, as opposed to unloading it all at once.
Granted, there are people who can't stand to learn at this rate. I think that there are times where you need to take any short cut you can, any wiggle room if you real, to really get a lot of times where we can move around. School can be rigid to say the least but there are times where a creative mind can really work around that. Its not fool proof but there is proof that this fool can find a way given the proper motivation as I have so many times.

I'm not at school anymore, but I would like to go back if I could. Now, I use my time to study online. It's a great option for those who have to work and maintain a family. Studying onine, you can choose what to study, when to study, how often a week, how long..... and it's much cheaper than privat schools or university.

what you learn in school are purely basics and some intermediate,
from intermediate extension up to advance, if for you to keep on researching to further more the information's learn....
most of the talented person like Albert Einstein, Bruce Lee, Ferdinand Magellan comes from self learning, and proceeding to intermediate and advance by the help of the people around them......
that make them famous over the other.....

Hello JosephP. You are right. The school is sometime so boring. Me to I hated to go there. Now I want to study everyday. Nobody will recognise ourselves studies. This is first reason why wee need to go there, in schools. To be recognised, to have papers, to be able to have a job in a good company. Then we'll change our believes, our thoughts because of the teachers. The forced us to learn in their ways, to have a theyr look about life. Now we just must find a balance between boring schools and useful knowledge. To have a good knowledge is important for any profession, to be recognized. Hope in the future teachers will make more fun way to study in schools and fewer unuseful thhings to learn. See you!

I prefer to learn by hands on but if that is not possible, I would rather learn online myself.

I don't know if this is how I like to learn or if it's how I learn best. But I am visual. Lectures and long boring talks don't do it for me. I do like examples on the white board or slideshow presentations, but just listening to an instruction go on and on about something doesn't help it stick in my head. I can also read the material, but still it is better if I am shown how to do something. Reading is second best for me because if I don't understand something, I can re-read it and try to understand it better. I didn't like school while I was in high school so I didn't go to college right after I finished. But I went back to college much later and found that I was a better student then. More focused.

For me, the best way to learn is by lying on my bed watching or reading lectures. I can learn more when I'm on my bed. I even work lying since for me it is the most comfortable position.. LOL! I don't know why but I really liked it. School for me is fun since I love chatting with my classmates. haha..
