Laptops today are constantly getting faster and getting bigger screens and coming with more Ram. Do you think that laptops are just being more and more tailored for gamers? I think this is a definite possibility. What else do you do with a fast laptop?

Not all laptop that has a high-end specs are designed for gaming. gaming laptops has higher endurance than the normal ones. Been worked in a laptop repair shop, we have several clients who abused their laptops in gaming even though the laptop is high-end but not designed for game. Anyway, if I have a high-end laptop, I'll be using it for 3D modeling and animation as I'm an amateur CG artist. I would be happy having one that will render animation faster. :)

Commonly seen laptops are still underpowered to be used for high end games. There are gaming laptops out there that it is not really worth it to buy than just buying a cheaper desktop PC. But I do agree that laptops nowadays are getting larger. I guess they want to distant themselves with the netbooks and a bigger screen is always better whether it is for gaming or watching videos.

You could say that. But it doesn't really mean that if you have a monster specs on your laptop, you're already a pc game addict. There's just too many benefits in having a high-end laptop, not just for gaming. It could also be used for high resource jobs such as photo and video editing.
