I live in a tropical country, beautiful beaches, but, from may to november, we are in the rainy season, and going to the beach just does not appeal to me, and it is not that it has not it´s own appeal, but I prefer the summer months. Some friends of mine are going to a beautiful beach, tomorrow, Playa Tamarindo, but I think that I will stay home instead, I rather wait to the months of sun, being there while raining, the most probably, does not attract me at all.

I went to the Northern Territory in the wet season. I went to one of the beaches in walking distance to Darwin. Whilst there I had thunder and lightening plus very heavy rain. It was an amazing experience and I won't ever forget it. That part of Australia has a wet season plus a dry season. It is hot all year round.
I live just ten minutes drive from the beach. It is crowded on the town beach in summer. I enjoy walking along the beach on a dry day in any month of the year.

I agree with you, that walking in the beach during a storm, or heavy rain, is a nice experience, but, I find going to the beach during this season, less funny than in the summer. I don´t like crowded beaches either, but there are things I like to do while on the beach, that are, at least, far less funny if raining. During this season, I prefer to go to other places, specially in the rain forests, where I can find more fun, even and sometimes, because it is raining. Thank you for your reply.

I love the beach and don't mind going there anytime. Actually during summer, it's really crowded so to be honest I prefer going when there aren't many people. I like going to the beach and walking around during the winter. The weather is so cold then but it really is beautiful. And you can see how beautiful the beach is without lots of people around too

Thank you for the contribution, I also do not like crowded beaches, but, I still find little pleasure in going to a beach when raining, there, most of the things I like to do on beach, are "out of the menu", like swimming, tanning...if the weather is clowdy, but no rain, maybe, but, here, it rains most of the time, during this months.
I like to go on summer, but, I find the beaches less popular, there are some, and I find it more relaxing, in the winter, I prefer to go to the mountains, wild forests are so exuberant in this season, I like it better.

I live in the Caribbean,Jamaica and their are a lot of beaches here.I love the beach , it's a pity i don't live near one. Then i know i will be getting wet every second,I love the beach but i can't swim.
No one will enjoy the Beach in the rainy season,I would not go to beach in the rain season.
I love to go beach summer time and Christmas time, that's the time to have fun in the water.
Jamaica have a lot of beaitiful beaches, but people go the beach every day.But i rather the sumer it more fun.

I think the same way as you do, I live in Costa Rica, and I think that our countries are similar in some ways, with lots of beautiful beaches, and mountain chains, in the middle, with lush and exuberant vegetation in them, I, during the rainy season, enjoy better going to the mountains, and walk in the rain forests, probably doing canopy and/or rafting, for me at least, is more enjoyable during this season than going to a beach, and have to stay in a room or a car, because is raining. Thank you for your reply

I think I can't also enjoy the beach during the rainy season. To me the best season to go to the beach is summer. I do love the beach and have frequent visits different beaches but I make sure my trip is not during rainy days, otherwise my visit will never be enjoyable. I don't like to swim while it is raining and neither could I enjoy sightseeing if it is raining all over.

Finally I get a response of a person who thinks the same way as I do, :) it is enjoyable, I was beginning to feel weirl. If I am in the beach, and it starts raining, well, I have to find a way to have fun anywway, but, as you, I see no point in going to the beach, in a day, or in a season where I am sure it will rain and I will not enjoy the same

I'm also came from in tropical country that's why i love going in the beach specially when i'm with my friends and family. Most of the time we spent our bonding moments by having swimming and i really enjoy it but i think having swimming on the beach in rainy season is too dangerous because we cannot estimate immediately if the sea is high tide or low tide.

Yes, you are right, it is more dangerous, with some strong waves that can take you out to the ocean if you are not carefull enough, and the water is colder, i simply do not enjoy it, and prefer to go on sunny days.

I live in the Netherlands and we have beautiful wide sandy beaches. The only thing we don't have is good weather. We are lucky if the temperature rised to 25 degrees C in summer. The sea water remains very cold and doesn't get much warmer than 19 degrees C.
I went to Playa Tamarindo a few years ago, in December / January and loved it.

Hello mivvvy, I am glad to hear that you had a good vacation in my country, I love that beach too, but I do not like to be there while it is bad weather, you were there when the time was good, Dec/Jan, is the beginning of the summer time, but, maybe it was a little bit crowded, since it is vacation time here too, I like to go by mid march, april, when kids are at school, and the beach is more lonely. Hope you can come back soon, you will be welcome.
