Does God give you special treatment?? Does God step in and cure all your problems?? Is this because you have memorized your holy book and follow all it's teachings?? If it came down to God helping you or helping another, would it be you receiving the help?? Are you one of God's Favorites??

If there is God in the world,I certainly get into trouble, because I have never believed in God,much less becoming a Catholic or christian. Here on mylot ,there must be a lot of Catholics or christians,by your leave I think our success and frustration has nothing to do with God,even if some people attribute their success to God.

Often religion implies that by following their rules that you will receive grace and help when trouble arrives. They do not understand God at all. So often adversity supplies people the need or excuse to do something. This starts the learning. Example: If no one ever became ill, mankind's knowledge of medicine would not exist. Further, you will discover that as soon as mankind solves a disease,a new one appears from nowhere. This is simply the next lesson. Our efforts to cure the disease will bring new discoveries and new ideas as we walk toward knowledge and learning.

sounds like you are a materialist. You are very right.the world is moving ahead with settling problems one by one.Human society is just what continuously develops from realm of necessity to the realm of freedom.

Someone once said faith doesn't make the mountain smaller, it makes the climbing easier.
Put it another way, faith is the courage to walk out across the chasm when here appears no bridge.
Or, two ships a leaking at sea, the first captain (A prudent man) jettisons cargo, sets all hands to bailing and makes for the nearest port.
The second captain (The man of faith) jettisons cargo, sets all hands to bailing but continues his course
Faith is not an insurance policy, it is a mystery

Unfortunately for you your ship is leaking because it is riddled with worm, a common problem before wooden ships were covered in copper plates (Hence, copper bottomed investment) No hole to plug

My quote: I'm going to plug the whole in my ship........ I was going to fix it like this: I'm going to plug the hole in my ship.......Doesn't that fix the whole?? Well, one can put the bait out there but that doesn't mean one will catch the fish.
Worms?? No problem. With a copper tea kettle, screws and pinetar, this ship will sail around the world and back. Of course, I'll have to give up drinking tea. Never cared too much for tea anyway. There is always a way to fix anything. If you don't believe that, you will be throwing away much in favor of buying new things.

Hi bird: I understand your concerns and from my point of view I would say that I haven't chosen my way of thinking, my moral point of view seeking for a retribution. God for me gives me his words that help me to improve as a person, be a better person and care for my brothers, to be more responsible with me as a human and I also feel guided to make a moral decision on things that happened in my life.

It's a shame so many Christians think God works like that, especially when the only work God actually DOES in the Bible is TALK: and God said, "Let there be light" ... oh, he's GIVEN CREDIT for all the other miracles---just like Demi Moore is GIVEN CREDIT for her break-up with Ashton Kutcher, even though it's more like she just 'lets' it happen.

Yes, I think you are right. Makes one wonder why so many moan and complain about life. There must be a few growing pains for some. It's the difference between those hungry for knowledge and those who do not even try to learn. I will always be one hungry for knowledge. Every day brings the possibility of Discovery. It makes life Grand.

hahaha!
I never thought of this.
But ya! I think so.
I have been given opportunity to be an actor. And you know, I live lives not just a life.
And I enjoy it so much. Means this art is a gift from Her to me. I am her favorite. True.
But ya, I am not that religious, means I do not follow the RULES of any religion to the extent that I qualify to be called religious.
I am spiritual, that's true.

Yes, as an actor, you can live many lives. Lots of people want to be an actor. Many do not realize how much there really is to it. There is a lot to know before one is truly great at it. One must learn how to make their audience FEEL. Touch your audience in a spiritual way and you will have them for we are all spiritual beings in our true natures. Of course, you know this doesn't mean preaching God or religion. Yes, I'm sure you are one of God's favorites as we all are. God's greatest moment is when that light bulb goes off over our heads and we Understand. Let's all strive for Greatness in everything we do. We must not be afraid to reach beyond our comfort zones to discover it all.

Well, no. And yes. He doesn't give me better treatment than He does any of his other children and if it looks like He is sometimes it's certainly not because I've memorized a holy book or am so righteous in myself. He doesn't solve all my problems, but He walks alongside me in an awesome way as I go through them. I am, though, one of God's favorites and He treats me well. He has a lot of favorites.

Yes, God has lots of favorites. There are a lot of children out there. God loves all His children Unconditionally. Yes, life would be pretty boring without a few challenges to deal with. Yes, God helps us to work them all out. As I look at the past, all my pesky problems worked out. Of course, I just have new ones to deal with now.

Well, it depends on your belief. As a Christian, I believe that got doesn't have favorites, as according to the Bible, God is not a respecter of person. God does bless those who are obedient and faithful to Him. King David was a man favored by God, but He certainly didn't get away from being punished for his disobedience. God loves all His creation, even though most of us are too hard-headed to heed Him.

In God's sight,as true saved, i think there is grater to respect like a pastor, every one is the same, but in the authority, should be respected i think there is no favoritism in the Bible..God the same helps given to all, same problems but not the same happening..
Some times it is Gods' will to cure our problems on time, and sometime it takes time to because it is His will.
