Able to learn watching television

I think we can learn a lot just watching TV, but the problem is our choices. For almost all people, to see a sport program, an auditorium program or other like this who add to little to our knowledge, is much more interesting than watch a Discovery program for example. I don't think they are wrong, they are just using TV for entertainment, without learning anything new. Sometimes it is necessary too, to give a break to our brain. I use the TV to learn too, but normally I prefer to look for things that I want to know in the internet. I usually watch TV to forget about evething else. Happy mylotting.

I agree with you. Television is also a good medium for learning. The educational programs and documentaries are just one of many programs from which you can learn. You can pick up a new language if you regularly watch foreign shows. You can get a rough idea of what certain fields like medicine, law and forensics is about (although these shows usually have more drama than truth to them). Watching shows like "Magic's biggest secrets finally revealed" can also help train you to think outside the box and make you observe a person's actions closer.

Yes, I agree if only we would use it well. People would really learn a lot from what they see n tv, like stuff abut life, animals, adventure and different cultures around the world.. The tv is very useful.

I love watching National Geographic Channel and Discovery Channel. I learn a lot from these TV shows. I also watch news to keep me updated with society but sometimes I hate watching news because it contains a lot of bad news.

I think television is a pool of information and knowledge. We just have to choose the programs to watch and those we let our children watch.
