hai friend absolutely our mood reflects in our paintings, for example when you see the baby smile painting automatically you feel peaceful... paintings carry emotions too

I don't think painting affects my mood in that way, I paint realism and the subjects have already been pre-drawn on canvass by me. This type of painting takes a long time to finish so it's not like my mood is like this today so my works appears like this today. I usually paint the same subject several times but in different perspectives. Since as I said I take a long time to finish (weeks of months on a single piece), I just stop doing it when I have mood swings or simply do not feel like painting, but it does not affect the subject at all. I think my mood affects my writing more. Another thing, I think life experiences affect painting subject more than just mood.

i think yes because if your in a good mood it reflects to your painting the viewers can feel or relate to it through your painting if your happy your painting reflects happiness especially if your inspired your painting output will be at its best if your angry lonely or sad then it will reflect the same too ( its only my opinion base on what i experience when my cousin was painting)
