My friend Chris is moving next month and he didn't want to take both his cats. He decided to give his Siamese to his brother. He did this over 2 month ago and it was not a good idea to do! Chris's brother has been in trouble with the law must of his adult life. Since brother Kerri has been living here, like about 2 years,he has been in and out of jail like 8 times. For different reasons. Kerri has also been evicted from 3 places in the past year. Just before he ended up in jail again he was and could not find the cat before he left! Chris's brother has been in jail for almost a month and it is good chance the Siamese is dead! Chris knows he made a big mistake and now wishes he had never given his siamese to his dead beat brother! Have you ever regretted doing something like this?

Hi blue, Can't say that I've ever been in that spot. I'm glad your friend realizes his mistake so that next time he is looking for a home for an animal, he is a bit more careful about who he adopts it out to. You would have thought that he would have known that his brother wasn't a good candidate. Still, sometimes, we can be a little blind sometimes when it comes to family that we love regardless of what they pull.

Live and learn, right? I do understand. I've had loved ones that got into a lot of trouble and each time they get out of jail or out of another situation, you always have that hope that this is the time that they will learn and do better. And I have to say that eventually most do.

Yes my freind was being blind when he did this! He kept hoping his brother was done getting into trouble! That didn't happen and I know Chris,my friend, won't be doing that again! He really regrets it!

Your friend's brother is living a mess of a life.. and your main concern is the cat? Don't get me wrong.. i LOVE cats lol. I feed strays i befriend them and as a result my kitchen window seems to be the kitty drive through for meals lol. It just seems he should be really concerned with what is setting his brother towards this destructive behavior. You are your friend could ASK the landlord to let you in (with verbal permission from your brother's friend) to simply check on the cat or get it. But after a month of being alone i doubt the poor thing is alive.. but always is that possibility. As for regretting giving a big responsibility blindly to someone who CLEARLY is irresponsible.. well once i did. My bro in law was busy with his phone i asked him to watch the kid for a minute while i got my bag from my place. He went downstairs with my son and the genius handed the kid the CAR KEYS which happens to have the remote linked to it. The boy locked himself INSIDE the car windows rolled up. I freaked out completely.. took us an hour and a half to get my son out :( i was about to break the glass before they finally figured out how to open the stupid doors. Last time i trust him with the child. ONE minute turned into the longest hour and a half of my life :( People learn from their bad judgment calls. Your friend if he has half a mind.. certainly should learn from his bad judgment call.

My friend Chris has tried to help his brother. No matter what he tried Chrs's brother refuses to get it! Chris tried to help him out when he first moved here but it wasn't long before he started screwing up! Thier mom even sent him to live with Chris to try to change his life! Chris's brother is a loser and yes I feel more for the cat then my friend's brother! Chris has little contact with his brother and when he found out his brother was in jail it was like month allready! Then it was a few weeks later he found out what might of happened with the cat! I have no idea why Chris didn't go over to the apartment to look for his cat! If you in my siuation you would feel like I am!
