I used to always have stories on my mind that I wanted to write, but could never get around to it for some reason... until I found wattpad. Wattpad is a place where you can write your own stories and read other people's stories too. Some stories seem very very professional and should be published... and that can actually happen! Check out "The Amanda Project" on www.wattpad.com. It was written on wattpad and is now published and sold all over! They were selling copies in my school's bookfair this week! If you're going to get a Wattpad account (its freeee!) here are some people to check out: xxskater2girl16xx, Reekles, and Racingheart. In my opinion, they're stories are amazing!

Looks a lot like InkPop, which is a site run by HarperCollins... specially their teen division HarperTeen. Top picks on Inkpop even get critiques from HarperCollin's editors. They have chosen a few to be published, I think only two in the three or so years Inkpop has been running, but still a non-zero number. I'm not really a fan of reading stuff on the computer, or an e-reader... I don't like eBooks. I've tried really hard to get into reading on InkPop cause it was something that I wanted to try out... but not much luck there. I doubt I'll feel much different about this Wattpad, but I'll take a look around and file it away.

now I think I'll check out InkPop. theres a lot of websites like that, but so far I've like Wattpad the best. What I don't like is that some stories take AGES to get uploaded. And I personally prefer to own my own books but hey.... ohh well.

Is that by fault of the writer or is there a nasty system bug? lol If it's the writer's fault then you should tell them to hurry up. What I like about sites like these are the critiques and contests available, plus the community you get with other aspiring writers.

No it's by fault of the writer. they upload their story whenever they want to. they just post a new chapter when they can. its weird.

Hello. Thank you for the information. This is new to me. This is the first time I hear about it. I like writing stories, once in a while, when I have the spare time for it. I have been writing at other online writing sites. I will take a look at this site and probably join too. Thank you again.

Wattpad sounds interesting but whenever I write a story I tend to upload it to someplace like Triond or Bukisa. I have started a blog to go with a book I wrote recently and I will be upload some of my stories there. You are welcome to check it out. I have links in my profile. Does Wattpad pay their writers for their stories? I guess it might be better if I just go there myself and check it out. Thanks for letting us know about it. =)

Yes, Triond has consistently paid me any time my earnings go over 50 cents. I haven't written for them in a long while as I have been so busy with my novel, Realmwalkers. If you are interested in trying out Triond just go to www.triond.com and I am also there as Leafygreens08. I went to check out Wattpad and I see they have a service for self-published authors. I am glad I told me about it. I think I am go try them out to market my book. Thanks again!

No, they don't pay, but I really enjoy the stories there. I have a triond account, but haven't earned any money yet. Have you?

I have Wattpad with my phone too. I have read lot of stories from it. So far, I have enjoyed most The Sinister Twin Sister. It already has its sequel and I have started reading it.
