Life is about learning and growing as people. Life is about change. When it comes to change, are you stubborn?? Do you fight change with your every breath?? Why do you do that?? When people need to change but refuse, they hurt until they realize that it is easier to change. People can be stubborn and can hurt needlessly for a long time. Let me tell you a story about change. There was this couple who were afraid to buy a house so they rented. They stayed at this one house for thirty years faithfully paying the rent. One day the landlord told them he had the house sold and they must move. The wife cried and cried. Well, it turned out the husband found a much better house in a much better neighborhood. The husband learned his lesson and this time bought the house. The wife cried and cried all during the move after all this was a big change. She had been living in that house for thirty years. THe couple finally got settled in at their new home. After a few years, I happened to see them. The wife was saying how much she loved her new house and was so happy. I scratched my head. What about all that crying that I can't move???? She was fighting change. People always assume change is a bad thing. Sure, change often takes some work, however as that wife found out, CHANGE CAN BE A GOOD THING TOO!!! Life has a way of placing us where we belong. Let's don't always drag our feet when there is change. Everyone is usualy better off in the end after the change is complete. Let's make it easy on ourselves.

I welcome change as it breaks up an otherwise dull routine. If the change is good or bad depends how we deal with it.

Hi! I guess it depends on the situation as some changes are good and some can be a bit intimidating. For me, I just try to see the positive side of whatever the change is.

Yes, if we look at the positive things in everything, we will be less likely to drag those feet. Seeing the positive and goodness in people and things in one's life is a much better way to discover happiness as well. Good point!!

Maybe not really stubborn about it but quite nervous. I think everybody does feel a little bit anxious for change. It means to be away form your comfort zone and things would become unpredictable. It is not easy for others and not even for me. But it doesn't also mean that I do not welcome change. Besides change is the only thing constant in this world. Change is also good to help us strive for more or to help us become a better person. i think if there are changes we need not to waste our time crying about it. Maybe a little because of the feeling of anxiousness but we have to take a look at the positive side of those changes too.

Fear of the unknown can make change unsettling. Like you said life is about change and change can be a good thing. We must overcome our fears.

We have changes in life everyday. it is inevitable. i try to accept those changes without any stubbornness or regret. We can not move forward with our lives if we can't accept the changes without being stubborn about them.

Yes, life is about change. It's sometimes hard not to resist change. You are right. To move forward we must accept that there will be change.

Hi bird: Yes! I love my routine and have everything planned. I am sure this makes me a perfectionist person. I have identified this problem in me and even with that I have to say that I need to take sometime to assimilate changes, make a new plan, see pros and cons of the situation before feeling safe again. At leas I am not in shock. I was terrible facing changes. Now I try to think, analyse the situation, etc. I give my time because that's my personality but at the same time I try to think about changes as something that is part of life. ALVARO

Yes, thinking and analyzing through change is always good. That way we can be sure that is the path we want to take. We should never refuse change simply because things did not turn out good in the past. Each change is different. We can never bunch them all as the same. Perhaps true perfect is when we do not demand everything is perfect for we can never see everything. Things missing from view can cause change and make life better.

Very much, I use to love being out of routine, now I hate change. I think life is learning but I like to learn it slow now, before everything was new now I like changes to take time to happen because I don't like them anymore.

Maybe as we get older we concentrate more on comfort than learning and growing through change. I hope I will never be so old that I won't see the opportunity to grow regardless how much work change can be.

Hi, Changes is something we have to accept in our lifes, even we dont know that there is changes going on but after we know it we have to accept it and live with it. We have also face all the consequences when we want some changes. But changes is a part of learning process. If we cannot accept the changes we cannot know what will happen in our life. I think being stubborn is not a bad idea, but people tend to be afraid in changes, afraid if this changes will be good to them or may have a good result. In my opinion, people need always to move forward our feet for us to able to grow and meeting the new perspective in our lives. Accepting and embracing those changes is to make it easier for us.

Yes, fear is an important factor in change. It is one of the major causes of dragging those feet. We should never allow fear to control our rational thought preventing all change. Sometimes change is a very good thing. You are right. We should be open and embrace that.

The only thing that is constant is change. Change is inevitable and one should be ready as it is not always possible to resist it specially when we have no control over it. I will tell you my story. We have always had maids to take care of our chores until recently but due to their shortage it is difficult to find them. I had never done any chores myself but now I had no other alternative.I see advantages in this change. I have adjusted well and I am happy.

OK! Adapt, Learn, and Grow! That's is what it's all about. You are right. There are many changes we have no control over. There will be learning with those as well.

everything changes in life, and hopefully we could learn to adjust and adapt to these changes. being stubborn has always been a trait that i somehow learn to get away from, but it took time to do so as i was afraid that i would be losing a part of me.

Yes, fear makes us put up walls and drag our feet. Regardless of how fast or slow we change, it is a learning process in many areas.

Yes,I am sturborn when it comes to change. i am not easily adaptable to change. i am the type that do not want to stick to the modern way of doing things.I like doing my things the old ways.

Ah yes, there is comfort in doing things the same old way. No thinking is involved at all. It was good before. Hey, it ought to be good now. Go get your mule. We have a field to plow if we are going to eat this year. And hey, who needs plumbing. That outhouse has been good for thousands upon thousands of years. OK! OK! I realize change can be a challenge for some however by refusing to change we leave behind the good things as well.

Hi, I find change to be something I don't wanna run into without looking for both negative and positive side of it. If change has more to benefit from, then I have no problem to move move on with with but if it happens to have more negativity, then I fight it till the time I lose the fight or win...

I can't argue with analyzing the situation. You will have the power to sidestep trouble while embracing the positive. Of course, sometimes those negative changes can end up positive as well. What is the old saying. Sometimes the roughest roads will end up with the best views.

Change is constant in this world. Therefore, you must not feel bad about it. But I think what we feel about change depends on the situation. If a person change for the better, the effect of the change will indeed be good. But if the consequence is not good, it follows to be bad then. Well, this is only on my opinion.

Yes, you are right that change comes in good and bad. A few bad changes should never convince us to decide all changes are bad from the start. Many are doing just that.

I have an adjustment disorder.. Unfortunately, even little changes throw me all out of whack. Nearly each and every time that I've moved, even if it's to a place that I've lived before, I've found it difficult to adjust to the move. The same with new jobs - I often struggle to catch on to how to complete/file all of the paperwork for the first 2 to 3 weeks... then Ill go home one night... and the next time that I work it's like magic. It all makes sense. Even when it's change that I've longed for, it's difficult for me to adjust, almost to the point that I become very depressed. It sucks lol

You say in two or three weeks, like magic, you are ok. Sounds like you have had many changes in your life. Maybe at some point it will get easier. Perhaps, if you picture happiness in your mind when change comes, things will turn out better.
