Hola! There are lots of things that are restricted to discuss online.. I believe one of them is religion. We are a member of different religious sects and organization thus different insights and beliefs. There is a possibility that the discussion will lead into arguments. By the way, aside from religion, God, Jesus,Black VS White, what do you think are the other topic that should not discuss here. Though myLot allowed any discussions except on promotions.

All discussions are good, only that people have different views about a certain topic. If we respect other people's beliefs, there won't be any unnecessary in-agreements which can lead into hurtful words. We just have to understand each other as one family, and treat one another with respect, that is the goal of mylot.

very good topic. I think that religion can be part of discussions but like you say, as we all have different religions (or none :D) we have to be much more careful with what we say. If two guys who share the same religion talk about it they can discuss the topic in full depth I'd say but if someone with a another religion is involved we should always be very tolerant and prudent. Other topics that should be ''handled with care'' are politics, culture, law, ethics as we all live in different cultures and societies with different forms of governments, different laws and different ethical values. Diplomacy, acceptance, tolerance is important in such discussions and we shouldn't try to convince or incite people to do something that may be dangerous in their country even if it would work in our own. Mentioning grievances in a society should also be done with care. What's currently going on in the Arab world for example (Syria, Lybia, Eqypt, Algeria, Yemen etc) may also be a result of international communication. The people living in those societies are connected and know how western societies live and what the advantages of the others are. So they want to have it, too and therefore they are confronted with their governments and often become victims of latter.

I think, there are posts about religion that need not be argued and debated. Foremost, these topics are mostly opinionated, hence, it deserves a reply from people with different views about the topic. It should not be blocked nor restricted, rather, views should then be respected.

I learn from hearing about other religions. You are right when you say it can lead to arguments, but I think everyone should learn to be respectful of all points of view.

I think in a way, it's good to talk about certain things like religion. It's nice to share and know about other peoples' religion that we have limited knowledge to. But it's not good to argue on a topic of that. A discussion can remain a discussion without having the urge to argue.

well i dont know what country you are from but here in america it is a free country and we should be able to discuss whatever we want to on this site i mean what are we sopposed to discuss...the weather some of the juciest discussions are about the most controvercial topics i think we should be able to speak our minds and not be penalized for it other wise it would not be a real discussion site everyone should just respect the fact that people disagree dont get offended by it and thats what makes a discussion

I guess I like discussing all the controversial subjects as long as a discussion is not designed to attack any particular person or group of people. We can often learn from discussing things we don't agree on, as long as everyone is courteous and respectful.

I have no problem discussing controversial subjects, as long as we are mature enough to not attack each other, or misrespect or whatever. But of course the "black vs white" "Christian vs Islam" ones would be totally off limits! I find them offensive and inappropiate, but I have no problem at all talking about other religions, since I am a person that likes to learn new stuff.
