Simple things you enjoy doing

Oh that's a very productive hobby :). I also dream of having pets specifically dogs, however at this moment I can't take care of one since I am studying at the university. That's really cool as well, a train museum, never been into one and the funny thing is I rarely ride a train probably only twice in my life when I was in UK.

We also eat dinner as a family every night. If my husband is not home yet we wait for him. This is our time to tell each other about our day. This is also the time the girls make special requests on things they want to do or things they want us to buy.

Oh that's really great. I remember doing the same with my family, too bad they are in abroad and I'm all alone here lol. Anyway, I am happy for you.

@zoey Awww, that's so sweet :), I can really feel your happiness with your words. @saia Welcome to mylot, thanks for the wonderful insight as well. I totally agree that what is important is that you are genuinely enjoying whatever you are doing.

I think it was W.H. Davies who wrote: "What is this life if full of care? We have no time to stand and stare" You seem to live life at your terms, refusing to bow down to "cares" that inevitably stifle one into morose "responsibility", and take your time time "to stand and stare". My temperament is similar to yours and I too love losing (and thus, paradoxically, finding) myself in "simple" pleasures. I delight walking in the rain, watching the morning dew refract and reflect sunlight into an a burst of colourful ecstasy while I walk barefoot on the cold,wet grass. Equally delightful is watching my son and other children play and speak in innocence, two young lovers strolling down the deserted street lost in one another, a zephyr shaking the green leaves of gigantic trees, the star-adorned night sky... I cannot imagine or understand anyone sacrificing happiness under the pretext of doing useful work. Because I am inherently happy I even do what is normally considered serious work joyfully, whistling to my heart's content.

I enjoy watching animals. Few months ago I had wto mini hamsters ( Roborovski) and they were just joy to watch. They were fighting about our attention all the time and I can say that they made my days more happy. Sad is that they live only 2 years so they passed away and I was depressed after that.

Oh that's great, hamsters are really cute. :(, sad to hear that, well that's really life, anyway you can always get a new pet :). Share your love to more animals.

Wow! That is unique :), it only shows that GOD provided us wonderful things in this world particularly the ones in nature, however not everyone get to appreciate it. That's why even it seems funny, I am proud to say that I enjoy watching chickens lol.

Oh, that's really awesome... :( well I am all alone at the moment since my parents and only brother is abroad, though I have some relatives here but no one can replace your real family. Also, just to share, one of my dream in the future is to have a wonderful wife and children :). Happy lotting!

Yeah, I agree that sometimes there are things that we can only enjoy better if we are all alone at the house, but ofcourse being alone for a long time is not fun as well. Welcome to mylot and happy lotting :).

LOL! Really? Well my real name is John but I decided use ghajini as my mylot username because of the film. It's an entertaining film, though I don't like the violent parts but the love story of sanjay and kalpana is really touching. Yeah writing is really relaxing, as an engineering student, I personally find writing more fun than solving math, physics and engineering problems. Have a nice weekend.
