how ratings is done here in mylot, and who rates us?

it's quiet long since i became a member here in mylot, but it was only recently that i became active in participating with the discussions. i really enjoy reading and making a response with the discussions, i even recommend it to my friends and some of their are in mylot too. just this morning i got across with the discussion regarding ratings, she said that someone might be angry with her because she lost her one star rating. it makes me wonder who rates and how are we rated, i really don't have any idea about how it is done. please share your ideas, thanks!

I'm very curious about this too! I've been a MyLot member for a very long time now but there are times when I'll participate on MyLot A LOT and then a few weeks later I'll disappear for like a month or two. I just went through one of those periods right now and am interested in getting involved in MyLot again so this will be very good :)
