I like winning more than I like gambling
love to play poker or other card games and I would guess most people would consider that gambling. But poker is the one gambling type game that you can win consistently.
You are only slightly playing against the house, you are mostly playing against the other players at your table and if you are better than them you can win ! I am a winning poker player so I do enjoy playing (most of the time anyway) if I was a losing player I would not play.
As far as other gambling games like slots, blackjack, craps once in awhile I will play them for enjoyment but never for a lot of money because with those games I expect to lose ! I do not really enjoy losing and no one does ! I guarantee if you play any of the regular casino games you might win but in the end you always loose that is the purpose of the casino. To spare your money for some kind of enjoyment !
For example, Las Vegas and all of the billion dollar casinos were not built because people win.
I definitely have an affinity for risk taking and gambling does seem to fill a need in me, right now poker fills that need.

I like winning too but if real money is involved then it's a big no no for me. I wouldn't want to place my money into something that bares a chance of me not getting it back or winning. Gambling i alright if you don't use a lot of money and it's for fun and games. But there are people who have gambling addiction problems and they would spend all their money at a poker machine. I don't trust those machines, they never make you satisfied and they practically eat up all the cash you give them. I don't like betting either because the chances of you winning is so low. Every one wants to win the whole lot of money so the more people play, the less chances you'll win.

I have never played poker. I have seen many of my friends playing poker, enjoying, and winning money. But, I have not tried it. I do not have the skill for it, and besides I do not want to lose money on that. I do not have that affinity for risk taking, as you do.

I used to gamble when I was young (horse races). Thankfully I stopped before it really harmed me. Glad I don't anymore!

No intention to! I have found that if you feed a bad habit, it will only want more and get stronger. The only way to stop a bad habit is to determine that you will never do it again and work toward that goal. You might fall but you keep going in the determination to never do it again. All the best to you!

You actually do not win on gambling. That is why the casino owners are making a lot of money from this kind of venture. I know a lot of people who are compulsive gamblers. After a few years of playing and not winning any money, they steal money from their family or partners. At first, the casinos will let you win a few hundred or thousands of dollars.
Now the problem will start. Because you will become obsessive to the winning numbers. The casinos know that you will keep coming back. So the next day you go casino, you will lose the money you won the other day. And the next day they will take some money from you. And all the money you lost, you will want to win it back so you will end up losing again and again until you realized that you have already spent all your fortune on gambling.
I suggest, you invest your money on something better. Do not be trapped into casinos or any gambling place. There are no fairy tales on gambling.
Gambling destroys relationships. It destroys family. You will end up becoming a problem gambler eventually so I suggest do not start to be come one.
It is better to buy things you want than spend your money on gambling.
Just my piece of advice!

I personally love it... Only that I usually lose, when I play online. Gotta be careful with that. I preffer playing live, more then playing online, 'cause its a lot easier... That way I even win sometimes. Overall, gambling is awesome.
P.S. Everybody loves winning.

Hi Pachkov, I believe all the people who step in the casino having the same motivation, that is to win ample money. To me roulette is the most interesting game available in the local casino here, if compared to others like baccarat, blackjack, etc. All the money I possess is hard earn money and I cherish every penny and I'm so stingy to place my bet on the gambling table Unless I'm awarded a few cash chips from my hubby after he has won the gambling
Happy posting

I don't like gambling. And I dare not to gamble as I am afraid I will be addicted to it. I don't want to earn money by this way. Since money will never come easy. There is no shortcut. The gambling will only make you broke.
I love China

I think that it goes without saying that we like to win, since ultimately no matter what the reward of winning may be, it is the overall goal of playing. Not always but I believe winning is most peoples main objective.
Since there are many ways in which a person can be considered to gamble, whether or not someone likes to or not can be a tricky answer.
I have never gambled for money. Not even so much as a lottery ticket or a scratch ticket. I have never even made personal bets with others for any amount of money.
On the other hand, I cant help but realize how much I gamble every day for a number of things besides money. Such as my life, and especially any involvement that I partake in with any other person. I win some I lose some.

LOVE poker, all types, hold 'em, omaha, stud, etc....have really only played online, though, and haven't for a long time. I don't really think that I would want to go straight to a cash game at a casino, but maybe a low buy-in tournament anywhere. Lower risk, everyone is taking the same risk, and possibly a bigger gain at the end.
Good for you that you are a winning poker player!
