I've been giving this a thought for a while now. I have been immersed in Filipino Martial Arts for quite some time now and I really love it and I want it to be popular to the people. I'm thinking that the reason why it is not popular because there is no professional leagues or tournaments that folks can look forward to and dedicate themselves full time. What do you guys think?

Well good luck with that, because most people would prefer to learn jiu-jitsu, grappling or muay thai kick boxing. I think the only way to make Filipino Martial Arts famous is to have some guy that use Filipino Martial arts actually win in MMA or UFC. Then people who saw it will say "Wow! Filipino Martial Art is the sh!t. I got to learn that stuff". By the the way I don't know any formal Martial Arts. I just watch kung-fu films of Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan amd Yuen Biao. I'm also good at sucker-punching my enemy a-la Floyd Mayweather Jr.

If we can have professional weapons based tournaments following the format of UFC, I think that would be a lot of fun! In that way, we can highlight the main attribute of FMA which is weaponry.
