Anyone in England pleased to see a series two of this period drama?
I am finding this drama very good viewing and look forward ot rounding off my weekend with this show.
I have heard that they are going to be making a series three as well, which will be great.
I do hope Anna and Mr Bates do get together for good.
What do you think to this period drama? I think it is very well done

I thoroughly enjoy the programme. I think Maggie Smith is wonderful as the pompous Dowager; I think that this is the sort of TV programme that Britain excels at and the costumes are wonderful.
I particularly like programmes relating the World War 1 so i am especially looking forward to this new series!

Hello, Sue. I love Maggie Smith as well. 'Amputations in the dining room!' was the best line in a show full of great lines last night. And it's great that it's on for longer than an hour. Totally different, I know, but I enjoyed 'That Sunday Night Show' as well.

Hello, Anne. Yes, I love Downton Abbey, and I'm really glad to see it back again. The whole ensemble cast are brilliant, but I love Maggie Smith, and Hugh de Bonneville. And Joanne Froggatt as Anna is superb. It's great that it's on for more than an hour as well.

Agreed, Sue. I'm enjoying 'The House of Eliott' over on ITV3 as well. I missed it first time around. All I'm waiting for now is for 'Dancing on Ice' to come back, and I'll be in TV heaven!

It's gripping, well acted, great cast and the storylines are fantastic, I am glued every Sunday night, I can't wait... It just keeps getting better, I hope they do another series. My favourite is Dame Maggie Smith. What I like is Miss O Brien the same actress plays a totally different role in Benidorm, that is why the acting is so good they are so versatile. It was a sad episode last night, I won't give away any spoilers but you can get right into it and the hour flies past.

At the risk of being called a heretic I hate it! No, that's too strong, but it irritates me. Mind you I find Julian Fellowes' writing pompous and vacuous. Just my opinion and I know that I am in the minority, but I just cannot settle into. I'm not keen on Harry Potter either! LOL.

Friggin love this series. I never watch tv, unless I am doing math hw on the laptop at my grandparents place. I have only ever seen maybe 5 shows of it but its awesome. Plus it doesnt distract em too much from my studies so its good. Love the spontaneity in it. It's almost as if the actors sometimes make things up and are able to with it.Pretty entertaining stuff.
