here in our country taro, fruit or leaves are very popular. the fruit we put it in a dish called Sinigang , we also sometimes boil it with and when it is soft we eat it with coconut and sugar. the leaves also is popular, in a recipe called Ginataang Gabi , sauted in garlic, onion and ginger and boiled in with coconut milk. sometimes other people put crab or shrimp in this recipe. i dont know how to cook, but my wife does. i only observe but i can say that taro is very tasty and very healthy as well.

i am so sorry. got busy this past few weeks for a cousin of mine joined a beauty contest and i am one of her driver. me and my family supported her all the way and is always present in every tiny and big things she is in. the pageant is over, she did not win but we are all happy with the experience. but your taro got my attention as well har har har. i dont know recipes i dont cook, my wife does. i just see what she does but it is not going to be easy for me to explain. i dont like to post something that i havent try cooking. i just like to share that i agree with you that taro does taste good. i am a picky eater and i dont eat a lot of veggies but taro is on my list of veggies i eat. have a great day too.

Hiya ritz, Have to be honest I had never heard of this food before taro roots. I am just looking at the information about it. Can see that it is very healthy to eat and with loads of vitamins and minerals. Actually I can tell you that I have never seen that kind of vegetable here at all. Even the Chinese vegetables and the South American ones are not easy to come by either and they have some nice vegetables and things to eat as well. Thank you very much for such a detailed explanation about taro roots that is something else I have learned. I have learned before about ladies slipper and other but have never tried them either they just donĀ“t sell them. The nearest thing we have here are red and green Peppers, and garlic and others. xxx
