oh yes, being a proud filipino citizen we have many things we are really proud of or should be proud of. but there are also some things that we are ashamed of. of course, we cannot just change our national in just a tip of the fingers.

Yes there is no perfect country, every country there is sham, and wrong doing, but still we are filipino.
We can't chnage our place to others, and no one can take it.

You don't need to worry about anyone looking down on your country. I don't know why anyone would want to look down on your country. Philippine is a fine country. You continue to be proud of your country and don't let anyone make you feel differently. Ok?

Hello friend, To be honest, I prefer to be considered a good and normal filipino. sometimes, being proud is misleading. we had so many people to be proud of and yet our country is still the same. but i guess people should not stop inspiring so many so that they too can be inspiration to others making the country a better place to live

Hey , it depends how you understand that word proud to be.Two kinds of of that, like i am proud something like in bad ways.Like proud attitude or do not want to be humble or so.
What i am mean is to be proud is because i am born in here, love country, and like you being stand up of your country.I mean different, and not like something bad about being proud of.
I am proud of my country because it is mine, borned here,or it is because God's will to put me here.

I am a Filipina too and i am proud to be one. I am proud of my country because it's rich in natural resources and it has many beautiful beaches , waterfalls and sights. I am proud that there are already lots of Filipinos who are already famous abroad like Manny Pacquiao and Charice and Apple of Black Eyed Peas, to name a few.
I am proud that i am a Filipino, because Fulipinos are hospitable and loving to their parents and family members.

I'm a proud Filipina too. Ever since I was a kid, I have been very nationalistic.
I am very happy with our values system, though sadly it's being rapidly westernized.
I remember back in High School, I made my Filipino teacher cry. He was saying that our country was going to the dogs. If you compare our country to other countries, we're so under developed, we're so poor. We go out of the country with an MD or PhD but work abroad as household helps.
I told him that even if we were poor, even if we have a bad economy and a bad government, we have good values. We have great respect for each other. We take religion and God seriously. We are very hospitable. He cried while I was talking. When I asked him why, he told me that he was touched by what I said. He already forgot what a good thing it was to be Filipino
