Do you like? To change TV channel frequently

Oh my you have no idea how difficult it use to be to watch regular TV programming here. LOL my boyfriend would hold the remote control and each time a commercial came on he would instantly switch the channel. He would go back and forth trying to skip the commercials, which caused for the original show I was watching to be missed. So to a sense it was like watching four shows at one time. I use to get so confused and frustrated and had simply got up and walk away. Sometimes I would make fun of him and say, look since you can't decide which show to watch I will leave you to your channel hopping. We barely watch TV anymore here as here in the IL we have to use converter boxes now for TV viewing and since I can't afford the cable anymore it makes for a lot of static and interruptions. We do have netflix which we watch on the computer but now while we are watching he decides he will play solitaire while we watch and sometimes it blocks the screen a bit. So too funny but yest makes for no enjoyment.

Hi fanta(my favourite cold drink) The same my elder brother do he frequently change the TV channel it annoy me a lot. I had argue with this matter several times but even he do such thing, now i have leave to watch tv when my brother watching tv. I'm thinking to cut the cable line when he watch the TV Keep smiling

i also have the same habit..i change channel frequently if i'm watchin' television..my mom get mad every time we watch television together because of that habit of mine...hahaha.

I have a habit of frequently changing TV channels till I find the best one. But one my mind id fixed to watch one channel. I will never change it. I even argued with my brothers to watch any particular TV Shows. My parents especially never like me change the TV Channels often.

i adopt a hobby that watching TV during dining time, so all my hands were occupied by food, i have to stick to the same channel while eating over table.

My husband has the same habbit.He is always holding the remote and waiting to change the channel all the times . But I'm used to such things.

I also just one show at all time but when I go to grandma's house, my cousin changes the channel frequently. I'm not just saying to everytime the series goes into commercials but even when the show is in session. I don't get mad as it is not my house but my other cousins did try to tell him when they are guest, it is rude to change the channel frequently because the guest might be liking what they see.

Hi fanta! It is a very common thing and it is found everywhere. Many men are restless and they keep changing channels for exploring new things. You could fix the time for your favorite programme and could ask him to do the same. Or you could go for second TV in your home, so that you could enjoy your programmes.

hi fantabulus grrrr I also used to get up set when my husband would take long minutes surfing on the TV spending minutes on various channels before settling down to just one channel. And he would turn the sound off which really teed me off. I chose one channel at a time with sound on so I could tell if I wanted that program. Now hes deceased I wih he was here to drive me nuts channel hopping.

My roommate does this and I really feel that it's the sole reason that I don't enjoy television anymore... We'll be watching one show or movie and when a commercial comes on, he starts channel surfing to the next program he thinks is interesting and starts watching it. Sometimes he remembers to go back to the first program and sometimes he doesn't. It really irritates the hell out of me!

Hahahh...funny fanta your husband is same like my husband frequently changed channel and some time arguments on this topic but they annoyed on me and I leave to watching the TV only watch to my husband ahha....I think your husband and my husband both are the childhood brother and missing was in Mela. haha...so send the photo of your husband and you can see my full family photo in my profile..

I love that constantly change channels. until you find something to grab my eye and hold my attention. so that I am changing the channel. I know this is annoying but there are such people. nice day!

I do! I have this habit of flipping channels frequently and so does my dad. My mom's used to it though but she used to complain a lot about it :P It's just that we keep flipping on various channels until we see something worth watching (not that the show will change even after you completed flipping EVERY channel) Lol! Maybe it's also because the hand's looking for something to do instead of letting it do nothing :P Since the show's on the tube's not that interested, people have this tendency to keep looking for one which can catch their attention :P

I tend to do that too and I find it really annoying sharing the same TV with someone else because we're always disagreeing on what to watch. That's why I prefer to watch the TV and hog it with just myself because I can watch whatever I like to watch. I also have the habit of flipping the channel constantly too, when there's nothing on or I'm waiting for a show I just keep flipping the channel to pass the time. I stop when I find something decent to watch for like a few minutes or seconds before I flip the channel again. I only stop when I find a channel I really enjoy watching.

fantabulus, I feel that the both of you can set some house rules and even set it in stone here. One of the rules being that whoever first switches or watches the television will have the right to decide on whether to change the channel or not during the middle of viewing. I feel that this is a good rule to implement for everyone and much more when there are children at home. It communicates the basics of mutual respect and about "give-and-take" between each other. I can understand the feeling of rigidness but I can assure you that it will help the entire family in the long run. Since you have a daughter, I am sure a mutual environment even over minor issue like a television channel is much better than some tussle over a remote control and some television channel. Think what it can do for her, the next time the both of you want to have a grab for the remote.

I am guilty of changing the channel frequently. I change it when a commercial comes on to see what else is on. I only do it when I am watching by myself though, and wouldn't do it if someone else were watching also. My ex used to change it all of the time and it drove me up the wall sometimes. I got so that I would do some sort of needlepoint while he watched tv and usually I would just listen.

I have to say I do do this but I only go between 2 channels if there is a comercial on the channel I am watching I will turn it to another channel. But right now I do not do it because I do not have many channels to choose from because we only have a couple good channels to choose from til we get cable back.

I actually do the same as well. I love to change the channels. I tend not to find to much stuff on tv to be interesting. After a while some stuff just seem stupid

Oh! I just don't know who ever invented the tv remote. I am guilty of changing channels as often as possible especially when shows become so boring or not viewable. :)

I don't know why but I never watch TV in only one channel I always have to keep changing, is like I wanna know what is playing in all the channels. Luckily I have my own TV and my husband watch TV in the living room and my son watch TV in his bedroom, so we don't have that kind of arguments. Sometime we make like movie day and a movie together all of us in the living room.
