i have observed that most of the movies nowadays are because of another woman trying to lure another woman's husband? the first movie was produced by GMA films which was entitled "My neighbor's wife" and then here comes the ABS film which is NO other woman and not to mention the korean drama which is the fierce wife. these stories are about another woman. how do you react to this?

What is more alarming is not the movie itself but rather the fact that many are eager to watch it and worse it is even recommended by a person who is involve in this kind of immoral affair. To watch or not to watch this movie is entirely a personal matter for every individual. Human society have established laws to protect and strengthened the family unit but at the same time it is enjoying, patronizing, and making an entertainment on a matter that destroys the unit it ought to protect. Well, it is just what the Bible had predicted at 2 Tim. 3:1-5. Good day

yes, many are eager to watch it. it maybe because of the plot or because of the sexy actor and actresses that portray the role. many are also talking about it too.

Harmonics, was it "recommended by a person who is involved in this kind of immortal affair"? who is that person? :)
I also saw this big "multimedia star" who said in an interview that she recommends this movie to new couples, like a test of loyalty.
On the other hand, I still wouldn't call it patronizing. I think curiosity is what made them see the movie. We have a very sensitive society that I think scriptwriters would not deviate from the good-always-triumphs-over-bad kind of ending.
Harmonics and katrinapaz, have you seen any of these films?

There has been a lot of dramas with that kind of theme since man started to learn how to make movie scripts. I was about to say it was more coincidental than intentional. Thinking twice though, I would credit those overly dramatic talk shows tackling "true-to-life" stories for making that theme "in-season". Or maybe scriptwriters just got tired of the "my-missing-heir-turned-out-to-be-that-poor-kid-I-used-to-bully" storyline..
By the way, Fierce Wife is a Chinese Drama from Taiwan.

thank you for correcting me that fierce wife is from taiwan. you are correct, maybe those scriptwriters are already tired from the over used poor boy gets rich movie or rich girl falls for poor boy and family disagrees. this is a new and interesting theme that people may want to watch.

i think the movie industry is now improving and making other concepts to take in more customers and movie-goers.

I agree! I am actually tired and sick
of that poor girl falls for rich boy concept!
I love this new trend of shows nowadays.

This is the reason that I am not so fond of television anymore. I am tired of these silly plots. But obviously there are enough ratings to make it worth the trouble of making them. If there is not an audience then they wont show it. The thing that I have seen so much of is of a lady being crazy and admitted to an asylum. That stresses me out because there are days that I feel like I am holding onto my sanity like a life preserver.

i think they are just trying to get plots which are of not the usual so that the people will not get bored with them and they will have more income. i think it is ok as long as they show the real values that matters.

It really happens in our society. There's always another man or another woman in most relationship. In this film, there are a lot of people who were able to relate. In my case, I don't like films with such genre.

i also dont like the films in this genre but then i am kind of curious as to how these characters will behave. i can also put myself in their shoes, if ever my partner is having another affair maybe i will go crazy .

Maybe this is the trend nowadays.
I so much agree with the first response.
I think everyone can relate to this kind of concept,
especially women. Even though not all
people have experienced being cheated, most people
definitely fear to be in that situation.

i think it will now be the with the hands of the adults, on how they will teach and correct if ever they will let their children see the the movies. but then you are stil correct voracious, in a way it can promote adultery.

Indeed it's a slice of life but somehow I don't like that kind of theme because they promote adultery and for the people who watched that kind of theme thinks that betraying their wife/husband is also a right thing to do but in the eyes of God it's a grave sin.

As i see it,they are trying to project some values about women . The thing is, it a negative value. It appears that women are possessive and aggressive. Well, in a way there is some truth to it. Another thing is that women just accept that they are not the only one in her husband's life. It's a pity because, women are portrayed less valuable. On the other hand, it also shows that men are weak and very vulnerable. They can resist temptation at the same time, indecisive as to whoever and whatever they really like in life. They enjoy having flings.Men's portrayal is also emphasizing their being polygamous. Somehow, these films are showing they realities of our society and culture nowadays. If not, then these films can greatly affect the mind set of people.

yes, it does show the realities and also the hardships that a couple can go through- and that is the possibility of seeing the partner with another woman/man. i also do agree that they are showing the different sides, positive and negative side of a man and woman in love.

As normal. I don't see any reason to react negatively on this. These are just stories and I think it was just a coincidence that they showed them almost at the same time. Also, I think these types of scenarios are the "usual" theme to hook viewers to watching their films.

you are right. these are scenariosthat hook viewers because of the lovely dresses and the confrontational scenes that they can see on the movie. just a coincidence that these movies show almost the same concepts.

yes, you are correct. because along with competition is the revenue and how their companies will be able to earn more. and what the other one has, the other one will try to outdo it.

i've read somewhere that to make a good movies or novels we need conflict, in action movies it's always good guys vs bad guys, in dramas, the most common conflict that people can relate is love triangle. I think it's not just nowdays movies have theme about love triangle.

yes, it is not just nowadays that the love story is concentrating on love triangles. but then the love triangle was among sweethearts and single persons. right now the fad is about maried couples and another woman meddling in their lives. but as you say, and i agree too, it is a nice conflict that most people cansee as interesting.
