The story of "man under the bed"

I'm back XD I got this piece of story from an old Japanese show called USO?! Japan! This show tells different "rumors" and "scary/weird stories" then if possible, they investigate it. Anyway, here's my story. Two college friends (Tomoko and Akemi) decided to stay together overnight (study session). Tomoko finally got her dream of independence and rented a 1-floor apartment. That night, Tomoko decided to sleep first while Akemi decided to stay up a bit late. At around 3am, Akemi was done with her work, she closed the light and laid down on her futon (imagine a make shift bed with a flat cushion and comforters). She then moved to her side, preparing to sleep and was shocked with what she saw. She can't move, can't scream since it may scare Tomoko. Instead, she woke Tomoko up, asked her to accompany her to buy a can of juice at the nearest convenience store. She dragged Tomoko out of the apartment and while they're at a safe distance from the house, Akemi told what she saw. There was a man underneath Tomoko's bed (Tomoko's bed is the classic low-leveled bed fit for a single person. Wooden, with 4 legs. Those types with a hollow space underneath). Akemi described the man as "dark" looking and was carrying a knife. Tomoko thought that Akemi's just seeing things but they did called the police to investigate. The police did a search of the place and under the bed but wasn't able to see anything. There wasn't even a sign of intrusion. Seeing no evidence, they called the whole scene as Akemi's mistake. The few days later, Tomoko was found dead on the very same bed where Akemi saw the man. It's found out that there was a secret area/passage underneath the bed wherein a man can get into the house, unnoticed. Now, are you sure you're not alone in your house? Do you know who's inside your house? Have you checked under your bed lately?
