The great hymn, "How Great Thou Art" begins with this line; although there are other versions. From what I understand, it's not based on a psalm, but a poem written by the Swedish poet Carl Gustav Boberg (1859-1940), while the lovely poignant melody was taken from a Swedish Folk song. It was allegedly translated by a British missonary, Stuart K Hine, who added two fresh verses of his own to become one of the most famous hymns in history. Quite a voyage!

Thanks, ljlisas, and yes after having read it, I agree it was probably inspired by Psalm 104.

I agree with Carl. It was written by a poet but ya, most likely the thought was based on the Psalm.

The words are very similar to the hymn "How Great Thou Art," but I don't think the exact words were out of a Psalm.
