Hi chillpill90, Yes odesk pays. Let me first explain a little bit about odesk. Odesk is a platform where employers and contractors meet. It's like odesk is the third party in between the employers and the job seekers. An employer posts a job opportunity on odesk and contractors like me can search these job opps for free. When I find a job that I think I can handle, I apply for the job with the rate that I think is commensurate to the job requirements. If the employer looks at my profile and thinks I'm qualified, he/she invites me for interview which can be via email or chat or skype video (although this last one is very rare from my experience). Sometimes there is a test, sometimes there is no test given. When I'm hired, the employer then pays me via the odesk platform with 10% of the total fee going to odesk as payment for their platform. Easy to earn from? I wouldn't say so since you have to work for what you earn. There are contracts laid out. There are hourly jobs and fixed rate jobs but all these are paid once you have an agreed amount. But there is no short-cut to this kind of work because you have to log in to the odesk team application to work on your hourly jobs. Fixed rate jobs have more "freedom" so to speak, but once you agree to a deadline, and you do not comply with it, your employer can opt to not pay you, which is not really easy right? Have people been paid from this site? Yes, definitely. I now have earned more than $6k from one of my contracts alone which started August last year.
