So. We have people on this earth that criticize music such as "Slipknot", that's my band lol, but some religious folks don't care for the sound they make calling it "evil" or "demonic" Slipknot is far from that the fact is, a few or more people who listen to the song "Heretic Anthem" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7GLLlOQ52I is not about worshiping Satan!! The song it's self explains it all " I bleed for this and i bleed for you, still you look at my face like im somebody new, (Toy) nobody wants anything ive got, which is fine cause you're made up of everything im not"... So what does 555 and 666 have to do with the song? Well he's saying you can stay the same as you are but you can't change me cause i will always be different and stand you the most and be heard, and 555 666 are completely different numbers ESPECIALLY 666. Get it yet? How about "Spit it out" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhzdBbid2bM Song is about the media and and everyone one around it talking down on them in the past but the band seems to shut them up making them stutter hence "spit it out".. What are your views and beliefs about this band?

Heavy metal in general will always be criticized constantly specially the religious groups. It would really depends on you if you believe into the message of the songs or you just simply love the music. I personally listen to heavy metal music but never got into the message of the lyrics.

@cnetboss Yeah, and the ironic thing about that is that there Chrisian Metal/Metalcore bands that these zealots aren't aware of. Bands like P.O.D., Haste The Day, Demon Hunter, Pillar, and August Burns Red, to mention the few that I listen to... And because I listen to these bands along with Disturbed, Iron Maiden SlipKnot, Black Sabbath, Dio, GraveDigger, etc. everytime I hear religious nuts use the "Metal is the devil's music" argument, I just wanna show them the afore mentioned Christian bands. Because man have they really caused that argument to be rung hollow for me.
