why do women love shopping?

I've been a shopper since I was a very little girl and my mother would take me to walk around the mall while my father was watching sports on Sundays. So, my love of shopping started with bonding time with my mother. As I got a little bit older, I realized that shopping was a great form of therapy of me as a way to get rid of stress. So, I would have to say that I am fond of shopping, but most of the time the shopping that I do is window shopping as opposed to making purchases.

Yes I am! My group of friends are composed of all females and we shop like crazy. After school or during the holiday break, we would plan to go out into the city or the shopping mall and shop for our favorite brands. So pretty much, you'll see a pack of girls all cramming into one shop and it's always clothes we're shopping for! I just window shop because I don't have the money but my friends love to take their time. There was a jacket my friend liked but it was like $60 and it took her almost an hour to decide if she should get it or not. That's just us, simply being teenaged girls I would say that shopping does relieve stress and it makes us feel happy. Funny how materials can make us happy.

I think this is the women's nature:) As women are much more interested in makeup, dresses etc. And they seem to have more spare time than men. They have to buy something for their families, too. So sometimes they go shopping only not for themselves. Women regard the shopping as a kind of entertainment. If you are in a good mood, go shopping. If you have a bad mood, go shopping, too. Even if they don't buy anything at last, but they still enjoy the experience of going shopping. I love China

I will say that not all women love shopping and that in fact some men love it more especially when it is clothes shopping and they want clothes, shopping for sports equipment or car parts, or, even better, tools. Ah the glow on a man's face when he finds something that he likes and ah the difficulty that a woman has in steering her husband out of the store when he has spotted that thing that he must have. I can get lost in a store selling foods from various parts of the world but I may not at all care about looking for shoes or other clothing. My friend on the other hand loves looking at shoes and clothing. My sister hates food shopping and has a go in and go out strategy which makes her exit the store before I would even get started shopping.

I think that there is a lot of pressure from society for women to look good with regards to the way that they look and choose to dress. Because of this, there is a lot of choice in shops about what we can wear, and this means that we are able to have a lot of fun choosing the things that we want to buy from those shops. I went shopping today and spent far too much money, but you would spend that on a day out at a theme park or something like that, and I get just as much enjoyment and time spent having the day out as I do by going on other days out.

Hi,as a women, I agree with you, yes, women really like go to windwon shopping or real shopping. Last week one of my neighbors and I agains on the child went to school, we went to windown shopping to buy some fall clothes, pants and shoes for children, starting from 8 am, we slowly walking stroll, and came back to home at 3 o'clock , 8 hours we spent, and has not sat down to rest, keep visiting to see, but also bought some things. Indeed, is a woman born of curiosity, when they saw a new thing, even if not really want to buy, but it should also look for a half day. Sometimes there is a shopping destination for some women,but also some women to pass the time completely, do not buy anything, for a whole day to window shopping, they don't feel tired. Fortunately, I have prepared that day, wearing a pair of flat heeled shoes, but at the time, exhausted, my neighbors didn't feel any tired, and said the evening and then went shopping, I was so tired to so give up at night continue shopping. So no doubt that most of women still prefer shopping.

hi there! i know sometimes its mind boggling what do women find so amazing in shopping (hehe) well honestly most of us just want to go shopping (either window shopping or real shopping) to relieve our stress. its our stress reliever to see all those beautiful dresses and shirts and stuff. another thing we would like to know what is the latest in fashion because we dont want to be left behind. we always want to be beautiful in the eyes of our husband/boyfriend/children/family/friends. its not about being vain but its just the feeling of being able to stand up in a crowd with you head held up high. i for one dont really shop a lot but when i am so stressed out id walked around and do some window shopping.

I do like shopping when i have to find something for myself of someone else. I enjoy buying for others more often because i can find some cute things too as well and then i also like christmas shopping because im not buying for myself and i enjoy that as well and have been doing alot of that lately and have been enjoying it. I like shopping no matter what im doing and or looking for and enjoy being by myself sometimes but not alwasy as i drag my boyfriend with me and he likes going to and seeing things as well and sometimes will buy something as well. It helps to bring someone with me so im not by myself thinking about what to get him or his family as well.

I'm a lady but I just totally dislike shopping so i guess, im not one of those women who loves shopping, lol, anyways, my mom always want to bring me with her when she goes shopping, and it is very tiring, when i need something that's the only time i go out and buy, nothing more, nothing else, just the product i need.. i don't do window shopping too, coz i think its a waste of valuable time, lol.. im just a college student and not so so busy, but i just don't like it.

Most women love shopping, as they like fashion and follow latest fashion stuffs, buy do shopping like thing. Nowadays most women prefer to do online shopping for clothes. I too like do online shopping and my GF always say me to give her something related to fancy clothing. Why do women love shopping oh this is our blood. Women just love to shop and just go around the shops and do shopping. I like shopping and like many other women just relax and forget about the stress we want to see new things in the shops even buy them just to see trends. This is part of us. I am a woman but i just don't know why we girls love to shop. i think it's because stress is relieved by such activity. there are a lot of things we could focus when we shop so we tend to forget whatever bad feelings we had prior to shopping. i for one release my stress by window shopping. i seldom do real shopping when i am so stressed cause i might buy stuffs that i do not really need.(a bad habit) it is just sad that men would not want the same activity. but it's ok women knew that anyway.

Oh shopping is really good when you have something in your pocket to buy the one you like hehe. I like to do shopping with my boyfriend since we both love doing it, walking while chatting, eating while searching for stuffs. Still i understand why you don't like to accompany your wife because yes it's really tiring yet it's fun..but sometimes try to join her I bet you she will love that from...that would be a plus love points ^_^

i don't understand the girls

I am a woman and I hate shopping! haha. I am one that goes into a store to get what I need and then get out! I am one that doesn't like large crowds though either. I don't mind browsing around the store. When I am with a friend, she takes so LONG to shop. Sometimes she is in the store for more than an hour or two. I get so frustrated! But, yes, I am not a born shopper! haha!

Hmmm not only women but also man love shopping my husband always do shopping new new jeans, T-shirt, shirt etc. I am not interested shopping only need thing are purchased. But I observe most of the women love shopping. Because they have more money and she want to spend anywhere so do the shpping

everyone should shop and like it. it makes us feel better when we are able to shop without many constraints. shopping relaxes me and make me happier. women are more eager to shop than men do.

Man have broad shoulders, and they usually were large clothes, easy to wear and found, instead women have forms that need to be highlighted or hided. And that's a little bit difficult to do, and takes some time. Also the diversity of shopping is a good therapy for stress, that people appealling instinctively, making you wanna stay there, and stay, and stay,...
