This has reference to my previous post regarding inter changing of work between men and women.This report more or less confirms my point that both men and women are different in terms of execution of work.
Doubting women's driving skills may no longer be a sexiest stereotype-they really are worse at parking than men.According to the Driving Standards Agency UK,almost a third of all women who failed their driving test last year came unstuck due to parallel parking.While a total of 1,70,000 women failed in their driving test for various mistakes,55,000 failed in parking.Your comments mylotters

It is due to the way the female brain is arranged and the male brain is arranged. Females have far better connections between both halves of the brain so can use both sides much easier than men. This makes men much better at judging angles as using only one side of their brains they can concentrate harder so park easier. Women are using both sides of the brain and while this means they do not concentrated on a single task so easily they do see far more of any situation which makes them better drivers in normal driving situations as they have less accidents and those they have are less serious. They can also switch from one task to another much quicker than men which is why they are credited with being able to multitask

which is worth looking at. BrainSex is a good book rather old now but an easy read. Amazon are sure to have copies. I always think that before entering this sort of discussion it is a good idea to do so research first

I think that saying you don't want to parallel park in case you get blocked in is just an excuse for the real reason. I would think that the incident of being blocked in under such circumstance is infinitely low. Also I did not say that women could multitask but what they can do with there higher levels of communication within the brain is switch tasks quicker and easier than men. Not all women of course and not all women have trouble with parking but my wife has been driving for years and still has problems with steering when in reverse

you have given a wonderful account why women and men are different by referring to medical reasons.I am not sure but what you said about the brain alignment of men and women could be true.

i am a woman i can drive.....but it took me years to be able to parallel park i guess i was lucky as it didn't come up in my test lol...i still hate to parallel or reverse park and avoid it at all costs....lady madonna driver hahaha!

It's sad to admit that I am a worst at parking and my first and last incident gave me the phobia to never drive again. I got our car scratches and my husband has to pay for the damages. I think we must admit that women can be the worst driver and I am one of them.

Why feel sad when there is nothing you can do about it? Nature has made man and women different. So obviously our strengths and weaknesses must also be different

and many women are really terrible road.
and many of them designated parking and women do not is easy.

well thats a true fact women are proven to be a bad parkers,well i am not offending someone but it just that i am pointing to the facts that i came across.actually there has been a study that women tend to analyse every thing with minutest details and tend to make informed decision all the time.By evaluating the risk involved with the work they are about to undertake.Their basic programming is such that they tend to think in a way which would best possibly aviod the danger,this inturn make them cautious and they even doubt their abilities to carry out their work.So its not that they are bad parkers but its that they tend to overestimate risks and thus end up being overcautious

I am really surprised to see so many women accept that women indeed are poor at parking. Normally they would argue that they are just as good as men etc etc
