If I study abroad,I wanna talk with others in fluent English, how long should I need? Half a year or one year?

I think it depends on ur current level of fluency. It also depends on how much practice u hv. The more u practise, e more fluent u will b when u speak in English. So where do u plan to go to for further studies?

not further studies,it is only a chance to study in USA for half a year as an exchange student.but my English is bad,i am afraid i can`t understand what the teachers say.and i hope i can speak fluent english when i come back.

OIC...fm e way u write, I don't think your standard of English is bad. In fact, if I don't know that u r fm China, I might think u r fm my country. : ) Even if u don't understand, u can always ask. I don't think your teachers will mind since u r fm China and English isn't your native language. When r u going over?

Oh ya, maybe u can take up Conversational English in your country b4 u go over to e States?
