what will be your reaction when you lie get caught??

hi sjvg If i did lie and got caught I would of course be most embarassed and will apologize at once. But I seldom lie as to me honesty is always the best policy. To lie is to have to remember allthe things you gave as the truth and most of the time a liar gets tripped because he or she cannot remember all the crap he or she invented.so its a lot less complicated just to be honest and not have to try and remember all the false things you said.

If I lie, it's always in a good manner but if I get caught for it, I guess I would just have to reveal the truth why I did that in the first place.

I think if someone caught me lying i would've felt like sweating because of the situation that I am. I feel like the fuzzy thing in my body when I get caught of anything, including lies. That's why I try not to do it much but who knows in the future. What will happen? Hmmm.

Hi sj Well if person who caught us is not satisfied from the reason of our lie then better we say sorry either it was good or bad reason. Well I used to do the same thing like you mentioned. Generally I not used to speak lie and if i do for some purpose then surly i say sorry when it got open.

hi sj, I never had to lie when something goes wrong in my personal life. But in the profile I handled earlier, for almost all the phone calls I had to lie as the conditions are such that boss do not want to speak to the caller but wants to get his message. And in my work place everyone knows how well I handle such issues and most of the calls were diverted to me. Once it happened that someone came to see me for official purpose and i lied to him that i was not in office (though i was not in my dept. but some other department). The funniest part was we were face to face at the dept. which I was at that time, then again i lied to him that I was about to call him. Also I had to take him to cafeteria for a cup of Tea. That day i learned we can't fool everyone every time.

Of course, I will say sorry.. And then I will try to explain why I was lying with some good reasons. I am not going to make another lie when I explain it though. And then I will say sorry again.. If I was telling a black and bad lies, then I can't argue anything when I am being caught. They may hate me and I deserved it. So I will try my best to not making any black lies so I can avoid such a big trouble..

I always caught with my husband coz he know me well. I am not a liar but sometimes i need to do this for some personal matter. But he always caught me and i feel embarrassed with that. So when such time come i feel guilty and better to be quite all the while for peaceful living. But i feel sad and really sad doing that.

That is the reason why I do not lie. Telling a lie depends on the situation. If someone is looking for a a friend and looks very angry,I will deny the whereabout of the missing person to avoid trouble or worse scenario. But telling a lie like "I am the manager in a big company" then someone heard and say ..." oh yes,I agree,you are the manager in utility section in a big company" have a good day

This is an embarrassing moment sjvg1976 once u were caught with your lie. But for sure there is a good reason in doing this, not unless you used to do it often....? This is another issue.

Yes an immediate apology is rendered and explanation as to why the lie occurred. I would feel so bad if I did not come clean as the trust can be broken, then I would have two issues which is not being trusted again and living with my guilty conscious. If the person is not convinced of my sincerity I will have felt that although I was wrong that at least I tried and have no more to fear. Hoping that maybe one day I can once again be trusted.

hi sjvg1976 nice question ..it depends on the person to whom i said lie if its my friend or family they will understand if any other outsider and we know that he is going to argue with us for what we say and wont understand then i will ...say no i said it in other way and you thought it in other way..and i will divert the topic..mostly i will record the calls i get and the important discussions when happens ...

I would feel really embarrassed and start blushing is heck if I was caught in lie that's why to avoid awkward situations like this, I hardly lie. My friend was caught lying fair and square by another friend and my friend was so embarrassed and ashamed that she tried avoiding the other friend she lied to. I told her that she can't do that on a long term and after a few days she started talking to the other friend like nothing happened. But it is very awkward getting caught in a lie, especially when you're in big trouble! It's so embarrassing and the best way to solve it is to apologize or you could pretend it never happened.

It depends though. If lying is necessary to preserve something important. Then the lie will go on. If indeed my lying cause pain and sadness, I would resort to humility then.

when i get caught lying about something in a convertation i ussualy tell more lies to cover it up if it seems possible :)

I will tell a lie after being convinced that it is in my interest and in the interest of relationship with the other person. But if I am caught, finished immediate surrender only helps. What is the point in arguing after being caught. But I avoid telling lies because I need not remember what I told X or Y or Z. that is why it is advantageous to speak the truth always.

sometimes I dont lie always but i wil lie for meaningful matter. If i caught by my lies i accept my fault and ask sory for that and i wil explain in what situation i told those lies

hello my dear friend, a very good question you have raised in my lot When ever i lied and i got then i would say sorry to that person and i will promise that i wont lie again, But i will lie again because lie is not bad if the lie is for good cause then only i will lie

I try not to lie but sometimes I just have to do it. Most of the times, I don't get caught, but when I get caught and it's a bad lie I say sorry but sometimes I try to change the subject or sometimes I run away!! Its one of my defects! :/ Rod
