Kiribati
This small country have no Pollution, so their nature's state must be good shape but sadly despite of the fact this country is not a nature abuser, the whole world punished them. because of global warming this country is sinking and might be gone in 50 years. do you think there is a way kiribati ? If Dubai can make an artificial Island, maybe there is a way to save this country or it might be too late.
I heard Taiwan is helping them out buts that only 1 country.
If this country cannot be saved, migration might be the only choice of their people. I heard their President said that if their country can't be saved they might buy land.
I dont know any country selling land at this moment.

Nature punished our country many times but It seemed fair since we some pollution issues. so I dont complain with any punishment nature gave our country but the case of Kiribati is really unfair for sure,

and to think of it, this country does not deserved nature's punishment, they were a country with no pollution and doesn't do harm to nature, its covered in trees. the people here are pacific Islanders like hawaiians, Samoans and tongans, and we know those ethnic groups are the kindest to nature

by the rate of the global warming... it could actually be considerably less than 5 decades, according to a news article i have just read.
that is very unfortunate for a nation, even if tagged as one of the poorest in the world in terms of exhausted natural resources from decades past.
i think one of the moves being made is relocation. but that is one heck of a cultural immersion when the time comes. when a whole nation will be integrated to an already existing one. but perhaps it will cost less than creating artificial land which they cannot afford in the first place.
if it's inevitable, i believe the action should be taken now and not wait decades which could be too late.
i hope a neighboring country will be willing to accommodate them as a whole nation. because a dispersed people is almost similar to a lost nation.

migration is an option. i don't see it as giving up. i believe in saving people's lives, and not just the land.
technology is also an option. it has been done before. there is no reason why it wouldn't work to keep this small country from sinking. with funds, the planning could take decades and execution of the plan could add more years to that. years that the people cannot afford to wait. because some of them had to move graves already while others dine while the tide is soaking their legs and slapping their faces.

There is a technology that keeps artificial islands from sinking. live Maybe the technology that is able to make artificial islands stay alive can help a small island nation survive. Miami have a group of artificial islands that is built around 1920s and those islands are still alive until now. Japan has an artificial island that is built around the 1500s. If it's possible to maintain an artificial island maybe it's possible to save a real island. I'm not a professional engineer or architect but I think it's possible if United Nations will save them. Making their people migrate in different countries sounds like giving up for me.

New Zealand already offered them residence because people from Kiribati are related to Maori which is the Native people of New Zealand but a lot of them don’t wan to live their land, But some of them still don’t want to leave their land, even for greener pastures in New Zealand, They want their country to be saved, As far as I have learned the country that can help them the most are Denmark, Netherlands and Dubai, they have the technology to save this small nation.

The United States could always sell them Texas. That way we could make some money.

Yes, Texas is a large state. I'm not sure if it's still rich in oil, we probably drained most of what's usuable already. But my point was, the US has a lot of unused and unoccupied land sitting around. They could clean it up and sell it to smaller countries or do something like that to try and get some money for the horrible recession we're in.

I think maybe a small part of a small state can be sold for billions but not a wholestate, speaking of texas, there is a texas independence movement

By far Taiwan is the only help i know they have, i dont know if United nations will is doing action to save them. this country is peaceful country that never started wars, they cared for nature but look what nature rewarded them.

it is so terrible to hear that. all the damages and destroys are caused by human races. the global warming causes a lot;the ozone hole and something like that can destroy our earth. every continent ,every state and everybody should take action to save the beautiful land. not only one country was involved in this issue but the whole globe---our planet faced the catastrophe which should be prevented by all of us. we should do something worthwhile to save our planet. one country sank and then the nearby and finally the the globe. so let's join hands to make a better place to live in.

this country have lots of trees, the world will lose more oxygen if this country sink, there are animals endemic to this country and also the people here will lose the land they inherited from their ancestors.

it is very unfortunate that a country is going to sink in. i think the government should do whatever it can to save the country from sinking. there is one country that is below the sea level, and yet it is thriving and has overcome the disaster by technological intervention and huge investment. the netherlands built a gate that controls the flow of water from the sea. i think kiribati can learn something from that.

Netherlands is one of the flattest, they don't have mountains I hope they will share that technology that saves their country from sinking to kiribati. It's a country with rich culture and it's going to be sad to just let it die because of the whole world is going through a climate change.

You are right, Captain.
As long as people say there is no global warming, that the seas rising is only someone else's problem... there will be stories about people facing these problems brought on by something we have all played a part in.

I felt bad for them, they dont have polluting factories , they dont spill toxic waste and garbage and they get the nature's punishment.
