Why it is that medications has a lot of side effects? sometimes it is better not to take medicine, even though you would take it get well yet you still need to suffer for its side effects.
I took some medicines for colds, because I can't breathe that much due to nasal congestion. Probably my body is reacting that much to the drug that I felt so tired and having headaches. I am so sleepy that I can't make my daily activities.
Well, this is normal. All things we have done in our life has its consequence either good or bad. It is like medicine, it can help us relieve the symptoms but also we need to suffer for its side effects too just to get well.
Even though I'm a nurse, I know almost all those drugs for different kind of diseases and its side effects but still I don't have choice but to take it if I felt sick.
That's why, health promotion and illness prevention is better.

There are times when the list of side effects are so bad I think the original illness would be easier to tolerate. Don't you love it when on TV you hear a very soft, nice voice list the symptoms and then says some deaths have been reported..as if that were as insignificant as drowsiness...

I think that medications have side effects because they are first synthetic and the body rejects alot of synthetic and not natural materials. And the body does it in different ways. I have no proof of this but this is what I belief. I think each person is different. Some people are more sensitive to things that others are. I think that when you get to feeling better you should start taking some L-lysine. It is natural and it helps to strengthen the immune system. That way you won't get so sick. I have quite a history with side effects. I have severe depression with panic attacks. Wnen I finally decided that I did need to get on a medication it was a long road. And because of the extreme side effects it took about seven medications before I found the right medication for me.

I am an engineering student but I have great interest with health and nutrition. I love reading stuffs about it and I even trying my best to live a healthy life.
Well, there are a lot of natural alternatives to common medicines that we take, like those herbal ones which more or less have no side effects. Nevertheless, everything we take has an effect, that's why it's all about moderation.
I read also somewhere that our body has its natural ability to heal itself. There was this person who would fast on water and just sleep until his typical illness like fever or cold is cured.
