I used to have somebody to baby sit my daughter when she was still young and I have several bad experiences with the different baby sitters I had for her. Now that day care canters are available for working mom like me, I thin it is more safe to entrust our kids to these day care centers. Most of them have well-trained staff and kids are with other kids too making them more sociable and interact with other kids. Have you tried dropping your kid to a day care center and what's your assessments?

I think that if you are leaving your child with somebody you know, then this will be a lot better than a day centre. If, however, you don't know the person you're leaving your child with then I think that you would be much better to leave your child in a place where there are a lot of other people to keep an eye on your child. That way, if there is one person who is doing something wrong, they are much more likely to be able to notice this rather than if it was just one person watching your child at any one time.

entrusting your kids to persons you know is now not a safe way since many news of kidnapping and abuse happen with persons known to the parent. I think security measures are stricter in day care and we can put the responsibility on the staff and there's somebody who can directly put responsible when something goes wrong.

hi edna just be sure to check different day care centers to find one that has been used and liked by your fri ends. here in C alifornia we had one day care center that discovered their handiman was a released known pedophile so be very careful to fully check the owners of the day care center and the people who have charge of t he children. a caring day care center can be really wonderful and they[e are out there too.

hi...i just quiet interested in what you discussed....im not a married one but my opinion are...maybe it can be also trust in a babysitter because not all babysitters are lazy that something made your baby had bad experiences with them, but i like also about carecenter.it not just take good care of your baby but also they can teach your daughter some things that can used to someday in her school days,os they can enjoy more because she can have playmates there...

Yeah and I think it's a matter of choosing what is best and fitted for the kids and of course for the budget!

I think this will vary from family to family. Your own nanny can be more convenient because then your kids will follow their own schedule and can still have things like playdates. But a daycare centre provides a lot of socialization.
My son is still a bit too young for either, so I still haven't decided. I'm thinking a dayhome - daycare in someone's house - might be the best compromise.

It is good to take kids to care center only, they will take care about our child nicely. There is no need of worrying about our baby if we take them to day care. As so many kids will be there they will have a good atmosphere to play and even we have to select a good day care center all the centers do not work as same so first we have to know the schedule they have for the day and even we have to check enough working women are there are not.If these two are good we can happily leave our child's in care centers.

Either can be safe and or unsafe my friend. What we have to do as parents is research, research and research. There may be wonderful babysitters and not so great day care centers. So checking all references and testimonials is important. I have had bad experiences with both and while my child's safety is important I do act on them immediately.

hi EdnaReyes it depends on the day care center as all of them are not good. be careful to check them out and ask friends and relatives which one they use and recommend. same with baby sitters. I always let my mom sit my two as teen girls just did not do a great job and my mom raised two children so I trusted her. I am elderly and my son is 52 now..so its a toss up just check out the day care center carefully and know all about it before taking your precious child to
a day care center. some are excellent and some are not.
