Are parents nowadays too permissive with their children?

These years there has been a noticeable trend away from many forms of discipline within the family. I feel that parents are too permissive with their children. Many children are spoiled. What do you think about it?

Yeah, I guess they are so pessimistic these days.
My mother is always this worried about my younger brother who went to study and live far from us. When she heard something unusual, she freaks out which sometimes irritates me because it was like she has no trust for my brother at all.
I know they are just scared that they children might get into trouble or be influenced by the way our society is revolving now but I think sometimes they are being so unfair. Not letting us to experience life the way we always wanted it.

Yes,they always worry too much and it is every parent's desire to give their children the best things money can buy while neglecting to support their optimum growth in spirit and soul.
