Do you know what are the entitled benefits for you whether you are a contractual or regular employee?
Many of us disregard this right because it seems not important at our short term plan in our career. But the fact is we are throwing our steps towards security. Why? These monetary benefits if paid religiously it'll save us from being nothing or in broke situations.Regular employees usually receive basic benefits. How about contractual employees? Many of the companies patronize 6 months contract with their workers so they can waive some benefits.

The first thing I ask whenever I receive a contractual offer is whether they regularize employees or not.
I accepted a contractual offer once, just because I really want to work with the company. What I experience was, my tax and some other mandated benefits were given to me (by the outsourcing company, not the company that I work with), but the health benefit was not included.
Good thing I'm not a sickly person, but of course, now that I'm getting old, health benefit is already one of my major concerns when I am applying for a job.
So for me, regular employee is still better.

Sorry it took me days to reply. I'm quite busy these days due to search for greener pasture. I'm currently working but I am not compensated enough with my job.
Health Insurance is one of my concerns whether I stay or not in the job. My job starts at 3 pm until midnight thus getting sick is not to be surprised. Did you ask them why did't they include health insurance in the list of monetary benefits?

No, I did not ask why. I was very young then, so I was not that picky, and I really didn't mind the benefits, becoming part of that company was more important to me that time. =)
