Which room in your house did you last decorate and what colours did you use? The last room we decorated was the downstairs bathroom. We painted the ceiling light blue, the walls yellow at the top and a darker blue on the bottom. A lovely seaside theme. Do you theme your rooms when you plan to decorate a room?

We just moved back in here after being gone for a Summer. That was last Fall so I would say my room since I moved all my stuff back into it. I am amazed they let us move back in. Cami had gone into a manic phase and told us she was moving out so my pregnant granddaughter and I had to find other arrangements. No fun!

Bedroom, ruby fire and white both with oak flooring and doors and other woodwork in white eggshell. I did my living room. I took down the dated border and painted it a very wonderful color called coffee with cream...it so rich looking. I love my furniture so didn't change that but changed a few things on the walls.

I am getting ready to paint my kitchen...big kitchen but very little "walls" to paint due to the hanging cabinets in U-shape and the countertops in same shape from the floor up...basically the only wall space is in between these two. I was wondering tho....do I paint the ceiling this same color? I have chosen a plum/reddish color. Looks nice, but I think that if I paint the ceiling the same color..it will look really small and closed in and dark. Anyone have any comments?

In my life I have never done any DIY project for my home. As my husband is a very clever man. he has done something during the bank holiday. However now I'm on holiday with my parents. They want to paint their house. The original plan was to hire somebody to do it for them. However my sister changed her mind. She said she will do it by herself. Then I said I will paint my bedroom by myself.Tomorrow we will start the work. Really looking forward to it.

Hi anne! We're never really into decorating so our house is a mess but I did decorate my room. I just decorated it this year. I had my room painted pink, from the walls to the ceiling and also the wall cabinet. There's no particular theme but it looks a girl's room not just because of the color but also because of the wall stickers. I have flower wall stickers and cute romantic stickers. I also have posters of bishoujo anime that I love and wall scroll and poster also of bishounen anime. ^^

Hi there, My daughter has a peachy orange bedroom, I do like pink, our bedroom is a deep dusky pink but not by choice really, it needed painting and we had lots of that paint left over from painting the hallway so we used that as we didn't want to waste it and we couldn't really afford ot buy any new paint, the room looks nice and fresh which is the main thing.... and we only sleep in that room

Well I've just decorated my living room. Christmas is fast approaching so I started putting Christmas decorations. I noticed the days are flying so I want to enjoy the Christmas ambiance as early as today. I used to put up Christmas decor every last week of November but now I made it earlier because I want the enjoy my decorations for a longer period this time around.

Hi there Anne18 Blimey you sure are hard at work here in mylot at the moment, I can't keep up haha Which room did I decorate last? I am still decorating my house hahaha. No room has been finished, some have not even been started and some are half done haha. I am about to start on my eldest son's room as he is going off on his residential next week so my mum has agreed to come up and help me. There are a couple of walls that need wallpapering and I haven't even got a clue where to start with that. I hope it will be a nice surprise for son and he likes it haha

My husband and I bought a house in January this year, and we I have painted most of the walls. In the kitchen the walls were a mix between yellow and orange, it wasn't very pretty, so I painted the walls white before we moved in. Upstairs the walls were white and decided that we needed a bit more colour. In the computer room I painted the walls blue and we got a curtain in different blue colour. On the walls we put my husband's collection of caps.

The last room we decorated was the nursery and that was three years ago. We are going to keep with the jungle theme, eventhough my daughter has drama queen tendencies. She can take those out on the toy room. I currently refuse to spend money and time on a room that is still in good shape, just to apprease her current whim of princess....last week it was Diego...the week before that it was Blue's Clue's.

I just did my living room. We were given a wrap around couch and we made a homemade mount for our flat screen TV. We painted the walls a really bright green and have brown curtains. I love the way it looks and feels, it is a small space and I think the new color opens the room up a bit.

We last decorated the kitchen, we always go for a white ceiling as it reflects light downwards, my wife chose the wall colours. The main colour is what I call a dirty pink and the splash-back areas being a darkish mauve. I like blue for a bathroom but would still keep the ceiling white. Yellow and Orange are not on favorite list.

We paint the little ceilings the same colours as the walls, as longs the colours aren't dark. Big ceilings are painted white. That way both hubby and I are happy as I like coloured ceilings

Umm.. No i didn't give much thought of a theme till now, but I loved the painting I gave to my room last month. The ceiling I kept white and the walls are very light yellow colour, kinda butter-scotch icecream colour. I love it!! It looks fabulous with the marble floor, and during night the reflection of moonlight coming from the window on the floor.

For the past 2 years we have not been in a home of our own for me to be free to decorate. But,I do have plans to get back into our own home and what I will do for each room. I am part Cherokee and of other native american heritage and I think that I got the taste for native american decor thru my blood!I already have some knick knacks, pictures and dinning room chair seat pads to go with this type of setting for my living room and dining room.I have seen some things that I would like to do to match that on TV as well. We live in the Washington,DC area and are huge NFL Redskins fans and I believe I would set my family room up in some of the things I already have plus more from the Redskins website also. I have got some ideas from TV,magazines and catalogues making my kitchen red and black. And my office will have a lot of panda decor, considering that is my favorite animal. And the bathrooms will defintely have automatic soap dispenser, which I have already purchased. My teenage daughter has already picked out pink, purple and lime green in her room. She already has a lot of the decor. My room I have not decided yet.I keep seeing different things and then change my mind, lol. Good luck with your decorating Anne.

I don't really decorate. I put Halloween oven gloves out because my old oven gloves were gross and I've washed them and they still look gross. I make a grapevine wreath for the living room with two fake birds and some fake flowers. Not really into decorating.

Over the weekend my Aunt closed on a house in the Florida keys. We went down and painted the whole interior a hunter green color. The bathroom walls are white. We dedocarted the rooms with the bedding she has bought and that looks good and matches the new colors on the wall and she always decorated the entire kitchen and that looks good too and then the bathrooms were going to be done. The floors inthe bedrooms will soon be wood floors and look alot better than the carpet in those rooms and then decorate the windows with new window treatments. Alto still to finish but it will look nice and it will be a nice vacation spot for the entire family to enjoy.
