I watch this movie again on Satellite TV today, and I felt like a bit related to it. At the beginning, audiences might think these small population within a village might as well like Amish culture. They don't rely on outside source, like electricity, and telephone. They live in calm and harmony, until the youngsters curious about the outside world. The elders try their best to keep away the outside world, because there are a lot of evil people. They try to take advantage each other, harm each other in every single way. Why not get away from it, and living in peace with less greed on your mind. Do you even imagine to have your own place like that?

I like The Village very much, though many hated it lol. I like M. Night Shyamalan's stuff a lot even though every movie is not as good as the last.
There is a place not too far from me simply called The Village and I plan to take a cycle down there at some stage as I was curious but I ruined it and looked it up lol, it's just townhouses behind a gate! It hit the news here a few years back where a young girl was murdered boggles the mind really!
I have often thought about buying an island and invite my friends and family and those who just wanted to get away from the day to day crap! It will never happen but then things like that are nice to think about

I would love to live in a place something like that. I would love to be able to have peace in my life.

All the time as I disagree with so many things in modern living that I just wish that I had enough money that I could buy some piece of land or isolated island and live life my way. No government, no law, no imposed rules which I disagree with or forced taxation. Not that I would want to do anything which is morally wrong or illegal I would just love to abstract myself from the regimented way of living that we all have to through.

I think as we get older we all think of a place like that. But I did see that movie years ago and I thought it was an awesome movie. I love the concept. I know from experience, living in the city that as I get older I am looking for a more serene lifestyle.

Yes, I really admire the simplicity of the Amish people. When I visited my Grandparents farm, my life was much simpler too. My grandparents were kind, gentle and simple people. My grandfather was the kindest, most generous man that I have ever known. I miss my Grandparents so very much!

It would be very nice to live in a place where there is calm and harmony. Where everything is not rushed. And where people are genuinely kind to one another. Unfortunately, since I'm used to technology, I'd miss it the most. Although, I would think that given time, after adjusting well to life without these stress-inducing gadgets, it would work out in the end.

very pleasant live at village
have a very friendly neoghbord who help each others, has a beautiful scnery, nature environment, freah, clean, untouched...since have no villages...but i has visited several villages..are even harder to reach by car..in my opinion..its only fun for visit..but not for living there...simple life and traditional custom are wonderfull...but we will miss that we dont have there...technology, and the frenetic life we usual run it...
