In Building Houses do you think you need a Civil Engineer?

I think we need a Civil Engineer in any horizontal and vertical structures not only in Houses. If we want to strengthen our House or any structures. In our place some of the owner prepared to hire a master carpentry than hiring a construction firm with civil engineer because of the rate. If we have a civil engineer our structure are always in standard.. I,m a civil engineer and i have small construction firm.. if you have some questions about structure i am open and i can help you guys.
