XFactor vs American Idol

I was and still I am big fan of American Idol but right now X-Factor is catching my attention. I am not still sure how X-Factor will progress in coming days but the way it is gaining attention around the globe is amazing. What I think is common, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell.
Is there anything else is common in both reality shows? Which one you like most X-Factor or American Idol? Will you share your favorite?

Even before American Idol rise, X- FACTOR was already there,it was only stopped since they need to improved more or add more excitement to their show.
I have been watching X-FACTOR since late 90's and I like it..
I like the adrenalin rush.

Like you the X-factor is getting my attention. I switched channel one Saturday night and i did had a goosebumps seeing Simon Cowell sitted beside Paula Abdul, I thought it is some kind of Americal Idol reply but I saw Nicole besides Paula that got me thinking that it is not Idol at all but a different program. I get hooked already because Simon is there. About American Idol, it is getting in my nerves. It look suck now. I do not like how they judge the finalist. Pia Toscano for example, she should be in the final three. They are not seeing what I am seeing, this girl has the overall potential. I do not know if I will be watching AI again.

There are lots of common things abut them, being a singing competition, and boot camp, but the only unique thing about Xfactor is that the judges will be their mentors.. I think .I love Xfactor t and I haven't missed an episode yet.. I hope this continues to be better- they have lots of great talented singers.
