Do we need to concern what we can get or just think what we can give?

One can not give if he has none. In our present world, i strongly believe majority of people will like to give and generous in nature, but unfortunately, most people can't afford to do that as most of them don't have any to give, so they have to take first before they can give as they wish since in this corrupt world; the politically well-connected and well-to-do had large part of these 'somethings' you just mentioned.

if one can't give because he has none, fine, we can offer him something, such as necessary help; but he also should thank the giving; mayby "Thanksgiving Day" is for reminding us, we should have a thought with thanksgiving.

I have the same opinion on this discussion so far though I do think of it as a two way street. It is both, give and take to be fair. Should it not be about some form of exchange? We do need to give something to contribute but also we need to get something out of our effort or we soon face feeling used or insignificant. To be productive I think both are needs, giving and receiving.

yes. giving and receiving, both are important; it's fair for everyone, if you would not like to give, no one wants to give something to you.

It seems there is a suggested idea that it has to start and end with the intention to be an instrument of giving ...
Some may say: "What's in it for me..?"
Other will just keep on giving their all ...
The result? In my opinion is that those who give their all and give a significant contribution will get noticed ... and that if the community will notice this, good things happen ...
For instance a person is hired in a job because of a seen proven potential based on past performance ...
It seems if all people will explore and deliver what they can give, more good things will come by for the world ...
What do you think?

I agreen with you if we pay more attention to what we can do and can give, then the world will be different. But unfortunately, many people about us just concern what they can get as return prior to giving.

our religion encourage the art of giving others who are in need.but some people dont want to help others and they always want to get from others.another category people are over helping.they will give everything to poor eventhough they dont have anything.both activities are not a healthy way.we should always look whether we are having sufficient amount for us and then we should help others.
