Have you ever been selfish !!

hi everyone!
in life we struggle some bad events,that can make us be selfish and mad at the others !
i personnaly see,that in some tipical situation ,we don't have any choice,so we should make our mind and choose between ourselfs and other's ,those others couls be:mother,father sister ,brother or even a friend !
so if it was you case ,what's gonna be your action? will you be good and generous or bad and selfish?
do you think that it's good (from time to time) to give peace to yourself and forget other's problems and request?

I am selfish I would have to say atleast 90% of the time. The other 10 percent is concideration first for a very few select people in my life. 10% is really not a lot. It is not safe in these days to think that someone else will put you before themselves.
It really isn't as bad as it sounds to be labeled a selfish person. It may be effortless to think about someone else and choose to act in their favor. Being selfish is a way of ensuring that you are taken care of. Care is expressed to others by the ones who have love enough to share love.

what a strong defense !!! you really maked me think a while about some generous acts i mad for some people who dosen't deserve it !!loool (kidding)
but ,don't forget ,if you are a person that serve the others and help them and thinking about them , you will win more than you lose , beleive me , you'll earn people's love ,even if you can't mention it , but it exist darling !

Carolin1e is such a pretty name.
What you say I think is true enough, and yet very little goes without having an exception to the rule. I understand the gratification that comes from helping others and making sacrifices and lending a hand to others. I also get that being a better person in situations really does make us feel like better people. But aren't these still acts done in selfishness?
At a young age I came to my understanding that as an adult being selfish may at first seem undeserving to the ones that are effected. Then, if a selfish act is done for self help and improvement, in the long run, it might become clear how it was the selfish choice of one that blessed them all.

I wish i must not be selfish but few time i came across some situations which made me to behave selfish. Selfishness mainly comes in only money matter only. This makes me to feel bad because i hate money matters
. I know how much important money was but it plays games with the life's. When one get the selfish feeling its very hard to over come from that. I wish i must not come once again the same situation

but let me tell you my dear, that selfishness is not reletad only to materials matters , but it can be about feelings too , ex:selfishness of love, of respect (there is many people that i know who see that others don't deserve respect ,it's kind of selfishness,isn't it? )

I am selfish sometimes, and I think that I am doing something that it very selfish in my life at the moment. I am thinking about having a child, but my family think that I am being selfish because they know that I work for long hours each and every day, and they also know that I would have to continue doing so in order to survive and be able to afford everything that I would need for both myself and the child. I might be being a little selfish, but I think that I could give a very good life to a child and that is something that I 100% plan to do in the next couple of years.

I really want, be selfish, Thinking about my desire, and put the interests of me. But, I'm always the one who always give in, let alone in front of my family, or in front of my husband. In fact, I do not know, how it feels to be selfish. Apparently, a lot of fun, to be selfish.

I have been in the same situation my self. I understand how you feel. I think that our family and friends the part of our lives. In life you never know what could happen. Some day the tables could turn, and you would need the them to be there for you.I can tell that you have really good heart,because your qusetion that you have posed.So don't be to hard on self.

Honestly I believe that in each and every person there is always a trace of selfishness although of course some have been really very selfish so that it has become very obvious in their life. I admit there are times I find myself selfish but I thank God that He is always helping me overcome selfishness by putting in my mind his commandment that I should love others just as I love myself.
