I believe I'm still far from reaching my dreams but I wonder when can I ever be could successful. And being successful, for me, is being financially stable, have my dream job, my dream house and my dream car and have a very stable career which I will enjoy every minute of my life. And that's through hardwork and patience.
People have little contentment.
What about you? Do you consider yourself successful? When can you say you are indeed successful? :)

I can only say that im successful when i reached my dream and do all the things i wanted to do (Which well can decreased as i grow old, so basically i have more dreams when i was young then realizing that they are impossible i subconsciously gave up on them. Still if i dont feel satisfied after reaching that dream then i still wouldn't consider myself as successful.
So to sum it up, i can consider myself successful when i reached my dreams and im happy, and satisfied on my achievements.

I told myself that once I reach my 40 years, I will be financially stable and, well, rich. I just hope I can do it. :) I wanna grow old with my dreams finally within my reach. :)
Thanks for sharing. An inspiration for me. :)

We just started a business a year ago and I think the time I can consider myself successful is when we know how win to the house. My brother said that we will have competitions with other that has the similar business as us. I know there are times we might lose to buying a house to remodel or some will think we are than the other companies. Other will say the other way around. Almost like pepsi and coke, or dish and directv. The time I consider successful is accepting the fact we will win or we might get beaten by others but if we lose, at least we tried.

Well like you having my finances in order and not living paycheck to paycheck sounds like what I would hope for. I don't know that I'll have the luck of have a dream house or anything. But I think for now achieving more than my Mother did a still pretty good.

For me, success would be when I am living in my dream house that I own, and then I have several businesses that I run, and happily married. That's the ultimate success for me
I consider a lot of small things successes too. Like when I finish a task here in work, I consider it success and it drives me to want to do more.
When I make the people I love, I consider myself successful and it makes me extremely happy

I consider myself successful, yes, because I get to make my own choices and live the way I want to live. I have a lot of freedom.
I don't think I ever believed in being a slave to an idea or a job or an ideal, but I did want to be very good at whatever I did.
For many years, I had a professional dream, maybe just like you, and I gave up a lot for it. I worked very hard for many years, but that dream never materialized, and even "worse", I own almost nothing at the moment.
I really enjoy the freedom that gives me, more than the occasional frustration of not having a certain item. So many things are free, anyway. Rain, sun, wind, trees, gulls. There for me to enjoy.
Success is a decision. Just like happiness. It is not something you reach or find or measure.

I feel my dreams are but dreams and not attainable. Even if they were I would immediately want new ones to make my life always better. My dreams do though translate into goals and then I want them to be realistic and though the same kind of thing applies to my goals as my dreams because they are as a vision I have for the future.
Objectives though, that my goals do perpetuate are obtainable and when I accomplish them I rejoice, make note of it, celebrate them because in the doing so, my fullfillments will make my journey through life more rewarding and enjoyable. I view successful accomplishments as a time period that we can live in but as they are moments in time they are not a status symbol or fame.
This is how I think of success anyway.
