Ever Had a Day Like This?

Last week my dad told me that my stepmother was having some difficulty with her kidneys and I didn't think much into it. I got today started off feeling kind of down due to some relationship issues and money issues, but I perked up at noon when I got the mail and found that I had won a $100 gift certificate! Eager to spend it, I called my dad and stepmother to see about getting a ride to the store. Thats when my step mother told me that she was dying of kidney failure. Alanis Morrisette's "Ironic" came to mind. Ever had a day with these kinds of ups followed by horrible downs?

Oh that's just a big spoiler of happiness. Whew.. come to think of it, the bad news always outweighs the good news that we get. Whew! Anyhow, I pray that relationships issues between you two would be patched up soon (I'm sorry if I'm assuming that the relationship tension is between you two - if it isn't so, then that's great!). I hope the all these sad news could at least be easier to take if you bought ice cream from your winning. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Why would your Dad not told you more than just your stepmother was having some problems with her kidneys? Did he not expect you to find out about this anyways, and would it not have been a little easier for you then? I know when you have something Good happen and then have something Bad happen on top of it only a couple of hrs. later in the same day it does make you wonder. I will be Praying for your family, and hang in there. God has everything under control.

Aw... sorry to hear that. Of course, I think all of us have experienced that in some way. I guess, it only proves that we can never have everything in life. Nevertheless, these downs are just trials and obstacles that GOD has given us, and we should not lose faith in HIM. Life is indeed just like a wheel, sometimes your up and sometimes your down :).

I sorry for your stepmother. Now she needs your support and care. I will pray for her, you and your father. Hope that at least you had fun shopping.
