why do most males leave the toilet seat up

I want to know why most males leave the toilet seat up. Because I think its disgusting and dirty for the next person that visits has to put it down. germies!!!
is it because you dont have time?, just plain out lazy or you were brought up that way with no females to complain about it... come on put the seat down after you have finished!!!

This has got to be taught to males especially if it was left up when they were a kid at home. It can be taught. It may be a hard habit to break but can be done.

I think if the males cant be bothered putting the seat down then how about they get a cloth and clean the toilet while they have it up. What happens when they want to have a dump? do they do that with the seat up hahahaha. maybe they should just have there own toilet with no seat attached lol.

Maybe it's different in every culture... when i was a kid, my toilet don't even have a seat so there's no discussion about if the toilet seat up or not. 
Why worried about germies so much? do you think those germies cannot pass through toilet paper we use to wipe or when our hand is at the bottom of our output area? plus i've read somewhere that germs in our keyboard is much more than in our toilet.
