Do you do anything special for the fall season?

I've been at work all day (doing another 12 hour shift!) and it finally slowed down enough for me to slack off and come on MyLot for a bit. Anyway, all day today it's been windy as heck but GORGEOUS as ever outside - so we've had the doors open. Of course about every 15 minutes we have to sweep and vaccuum because of the abundance of leaves that fly in here. Anyway, it got me thinking how PRETTY fall is and how totally underrated it is. Today, it's a nice 60 degrees and cloudy and is just the most beautiful day ever (terrible day to spend inside of work all day - just sayin') and so I was wondering to all of you - how do you spend your fall? A lot of people I know go on vacations in both the winter and summer, but I never hear about someone doing anything *fun* to celebrate fall. Do you do scenic drives? Walk around lakes? Go to any cool fall festivals? I'm trying to get ideas, just because it's so nice out but I never seem to do ANYTHING during the fall (even though my summer was JAM PACKED with stuff going on every weekend). What do you DO during the fall?

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year! My husband and I have always carved pumpkins together and we let our 16 month old son fingerpaint his. We'll probably go on a hay ride through an apple orchard and go to a pumpkin patch. I do photography as a hobby so I always go to the field beside our house and take pictures as often as I can. I don't have to do anything special, you know? I just love the crisp air and the smell fall always seems to have. Just being outside for a few hours is nice. We'll take the dogs for a walk or let our son draw outside. Perfect hoodie weather. :)

I was just thinking the same thing the other day! Well, sort of. I think the Fall is nice. Cold mornings and bright sunlight. It so nice to sit in an outdoor cafe, drinking a hot beverage and just appreciating being outside. What we'll do is to try to extend the summer a little bit more. When it's warm outside, I would drag the kids for another one or two hikes. And maybe squeeze in a few more cycling in the afternoon.

Nothing really of note. Perhaps later on but nothing right now. Mostly right now, I've been busy cleaning up the yard, before the cold weather hits and the inevitable snow to say the least. There are going to be a lot of times where fall just tends to be one of my busier times of the year, or rather the first couple of weeks, as I really try to get everything together. So yes, the season is still young though. Obviously as we get closer to Halloween, we might do something interesting. Perhaps not but you really never know. This has really been an insane year in many ways any way it is sliced. 2011 was quite the one to be remembered in any number of ways and I only have had slight chances to catch my breath. Such is life.

I won't do anything special though for regular fall season. Work and come home, and do what I do usually everyday. This month, my friend asked me whether I can go with him to California, since he will visit his cousin, and he would like to go down to Mexico border for a day fun though. Sounds very tempting and I am still considering his offer.

The wind is rustling in the fall season. In the ancient China, wars usually break out in autumn. It manifests its murderous look in autumn. So I often stay at home in the fall season especially in early autumn.
