If there is such a thing as soulmate, then I had found mine.

Once upon a distant time, in my juvenile days, I had fallen in love with someone who, I believed, didn't want me at all. And we parted ways without even expressing how we felt towards each other. And the years passed by. The memory of my unrequited love was pushed deep in the recesses of my heart, where no one can see it, nor I disturb it.
But life has a way of coming to terms with what is real and true and important. My unrequited love, all of sudden invited me as friend in, guess what, facebook! I got afraid, but I told myself I was mature enough, and definitely old enough to handle a once youthful emotion. What I didn't expect was a correspondence of honesty and sincerity that followed, an openness that two people who, even if the circumstances are different now, are truly devout to each other.
Somewhere in my thoughts, a longing occurred that somehow, loving could have started in that distant past. But, as it is, I wouldn't wish for a better story, for never had I corresponded with someone whose thoughts and creed were exactly my own. It was comforting to know that he had never forgotten, and actually prayed for me on my birth date all this past quarter century.
T had always said that God loves me tremendously, I didn't know that He had given me soulmate who loved me very much and prayed for me.

Neat! It's nice that you two have felt something all this time but have moved on in other ways. So does this mean you are friends or are able to date? It would be interesting to hear how that turned out if that was perhaps the case.
I once knew someone whom I had totally finished sentences of, but we wanted different things. And I needed someone who was more attentive to ME!

I thought I met my soul mate, but I was wrong. I met this guy named Gil, back in 1982, at work. We both liked each other but the timing was wrong. He was married and I was married to other people. We were only friends at the time, work mates. Then after a year he moved on and went to a different job. We met again in 1991, at work again, he came back to where I was still working.
Again the timing wasn't right, he was still married and I was single. We again worked together for about a year, just friends still. Then he moved on again, got transferred to another office, and I stayed with the same company.
Then again we were working together in 1998 and this time we were both divorced. So we started dating this time and we got married in 2000. We were both older by then at the age of 41 and finished having kids and all. We stayed together till 2009 when he left me for another woman.
So I thought that he was my soulmate as we were put together so many times, met up with each other so many times and then finally got together. But it turned out that we weren't soulmates after all or we would still be together.
Cheers and happy mylotting my friend,
Chris

I am sorry chris, I do not know what to say. I do hope you are okay though, and not dampened by what happened.
I am still finding the reason why God allowed me and my beloved rediscover ourselves, and I pray that whatever that reason is, it is for the good of both of us. I consider him my soulmate because we share the same flame, which, I desperately wish, would never extinguish.

it is so sweet that finally god has smiled on you and blessed you with a soul-mate.It seems a fairytale story out of the books .People separating and then meeting again with a more intense passion for their beloved ones.Yes this is it ,you have found a soul-mate :-this sentence rings on and on in your head ,you feel happy and contended that the person whom you once longed for has returned with a passion and love for your in his heart,he has noone else in his life but you whom he would include in his sorrow,in his grief,in his happy moments, you have become a part of his life and basically we can say he has become used to you and the denial to be seprable shows what you mean to him so god bless you very very much, and in future you both produce a lot of childrens and tell them their story of strife and victory bbye

zulia, this sounds like you are more excited than I am, but thank you, we have not even met yet, just corresponded. I't give you best response, too, if we are allowed to do that.

If there are really soulmates, many couples are not each others! I think that is sad! Some of my freinds say they have friends as soulmates not their partners! I always thought that is the way it was suppose to be! It isn't and I think something is wrong with that! Is that disrepect or what? Where did I lose this is translation? I'm confused!

blue, I also don't know if the soulmate thing is true. But I'd like to believe that such can happen because two people understand each other, as what happened to me.

That is sweet of him, to pray for you still even if you could only remain friends. I have a soulmate, a girl I met in college. Despite the distance and the journeys we've had that kept us away from each other, we never cease to communicate. She doesn't know I consider her as my soulmate... but in my heart I know she is. She's my best friend forever and my dear soulmate. And yes, we keep praying for each other until now. I'm already married, she's still single, still we've remained bestfriends for the last 13 years.

Thank you elle, I am still discovering what that reason is but I feel that it is just exactly what you said, something wonderful. God bless you, too.

There's a soulmate dedicated for everybody, just that we don't know who are they. They are there praying for us quietly, always there for us, lending us support without us knowing. They are the true angels out of all who said would be there, but are never there. People doing good deeds are often behind the scenes. Those who make it known, are just acting to gain popularity, for their own advantage.

Hey Sanitary, I like already what you were conveying, till that last sentence. Aww! I think you must be referring to those pompous politicians and the like. But no matter, you are right about what soulmate means.

I don't know if I would really believe in a soulmate, cause soulmate is just one person, I'd rather believe in destiny and fate like I was destined to marry this woman despite having had many relationships or this person was destined to be only my friend no matter how we tried to make it work, anyway all this is just my personal opinion.

You have a nice love story to tell.
Some people found it onced they reached their puberty, some found it later in life but as far as I am concerned, you have found yours beautifully. :)
Congratulations to you, if you have found yours, but I guess, I haven't found mine as beautiful as yours.
I hope mine will come some day. Be it beautiful and as loving as ever.
Thank you for this is happening in your life.

Thank you Hatley, if there is one beautiful story of loving here in mylot, it is yours.
And yes, you are right, God reunites people for a reason. But the marriage thing is not a possibility. Don't you worry, I am happy enough.

Yes there is some thing known as soul-mate,this may not be your husband or wife, in my opinion it is a unique concept, only lucky persons meet their soul-mate..
