Just when I think he can't be any cuter...

Even though my boyfriend acts like he's tough in front of people, with me he's a big mushball. He will do and say the cutest, sweetest things and it always melts my heart. Well tonight, we were watching a movie before I left and when it was over I told him I had to go. Even though he was dead tired and needs to go to bed to get up for work the next day, he kept begging me to stay and he didn't want me leaving. So I just laid there for a few more minutes until I felt bad keeping him up. When I got up to leave he grabbed a pillow and wrapped his arms around it to go to sleep. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I sometimes pretend this pillow is you. I don't know why but I just thought it was the cutest thing ever. He's such a big cuddlebug that he'll go as far as pretending I'm a pillow when I can't actually be there.
A few minutes ago his mom texted me and said that when she went in to turn off his tv he woke up and kept asking for me. When she told him I had left, he was all upset because I didn't kiss him before leaving. The funny thing is, he was half awake when I left and we kissed goodbye and while I was walking away he kept saying love you baby. He was even awake when I asked if he wanted his door closed! I guess he was so sleepy he totally forgot. I just thought it was cute that the first thing he was asking for when he woke up was me.
It's always the little things like that that he does that make me so happy. To me, they're better than big elaborate things to show he loves me. THe little things are unplanned and that's what makes it so special. Even though he can be a little booger sometimes he's still a sweetheart and I love him with all my heart

I'll bet this get filed in your metal scrapbook of special memories. Do you have a physical journal, too? These are the kinds of things you might want to be able to remember someday after many more years of living have crowded this particular memory from your conscious mind. My own pillow has been many different people at many stages of my life. How about yours?

Oh yes, this definitely got filed into my memory bank. Having a physical journal is a great idea and I think I'm actually going to do that. I would hate to forget these cute little things. I already save everything he gives me and all the tickets from things we've done together. I even have the wrist band from the very first time we hung out on the beach together. Then, in a separate little box I save all the cards he gives me because he always picks out the cards with the cutest, simplest sayings. One time, I told him how I saved everything and he was really touched that I did that because I guess he's never had a girl that's cared so much about him. Since he's my first and only love, he's the only one I ever imagined my pillow being. It doesn't happen often, but every once in a while I'll do it. All the other nights I sleep with a Pooh bear that he gave me after he came back from Disney before we started dating. Whenever I'm sad, missing him, or scared after a nightmare, I always hug on to Pooh and wish it was him lol.
