I have been enrolled in on line banking for many years now and have as yet had no problems with it but I do think it depends on many things primarily the banks own security, your computers security and making sure you log off properly. I would not use any other computer than my own and although last year I used many wi-fi links, I am very suspicious of these.

With the exemption of my paypal account, I'm very hesitant to use on-line banking. Well, for one, internet is accessible to almost everyone. Although they say there's a "privacy policy", you wouldn't know when the hackers attack. right? If not hackers, sometimes there are glitches online, especially on credit cards. I have a friend he used online banking to pay for something, and when he checked he was charged twice. so he went through a lot of hassle fixing it.
Although I am sure that this doesn't happen to everyone, I'm just more comfortable in using the old ways, like going directly to the bank whenever I need to pay/ withdraw or deposit money. =)

Good for you, I think you are a bit safer when you don't transact to pay for something.
I actually hope that I would also get over this fear soon, I know how convenient online banking is. It's just that for now, I don't feel comfortable using it yet. =)

I am enrolled in online banking and so far I find it very convenient as I don't have to leave the house to pay off bills. Based on my experience it is rather safe and the convenient factor makes it good.

I have been using my online banking for many years now and its very helpful. I hate queuing for payments or deposits in the banks and the online banking has removed such hassle. Well the only critical with online banking is you should be very very carefull on using your username and password and keeping it to yourself and should as much as possible avoid using it your online banking in other computers.

I'm enrolled in online banking,
I can say that it's safe for me as long as
I am very careful with my money.
I only entrust my money with reputable banks
and I am really careful about what they call "phishing emails".

Online banking does have many advantages, but it has some disadvantages too.
However, if used properly and regularly monitored, it is very useful.
Some of the advantages:
1) It is fast and convenient to use. One can transfer money to other banks accounts of own as well as self, very fast. One can also transfer money for paying utility bills like telephone, electricity, mobile as well as credit card bills.
2)One does not need to stand in long queues for payments, or use cheques for doing financial transactions.
The disadvantage is that if one is not using Anti-virus, or one is not careful, online account password might be hacked and misused. So one needs to login to one's online bank account regulary and keep a tab on one's account.
