Is that love is enough to make the friendship stay alive or need money to grow?

We may have lots of friends by online,offline, schoolmates, college friends, colleague etc. We are in touch with everyone now-a-days through various modes like social networks, telephones, emails etc. Apart from this which is much needed in this modern world? Can love among friends will help it for grow or money needed to help it grow and stay alive all throughout life.

I think that, considering the amount of people who use social networking websites in the modern day world, it's a lot easier for people to get in touch with their old friends and also make friends with people who they hadn't already met. I find that money means that I fall out of touch with some of my friends because I can't afford to go on the same nights out they choose to go on. I am left out of so many things that I just don't feel as though I can talk to them in the same way anymore which means that I am no longer classed as one of their friendship group so yes, I would say that money is of at least some level of importance.
