Chrome taking on Firefox..

I actually love the Chrome but still using Firefox. One BIG reason - Firefox has the option to have a master password to protect all my saved passwords while Chrome misses it. So are lots of such extensions which chrome misses out. But ComputerWorld reports that, according to web analytics service StatCounter, Google's popular Chrome browser will overtake Firefox in popularity by the end of this year—putting Chrome at second to the still-tough-to-topple Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is a NO-NO for me though. Whats the opinion, folks?. Do you feel Chrome can beat Firefox out of the competition?

Of course there's no doubt that chrome will overtake firefox this year. I read an article few months ago about statistical analysis on what is going on on web browsers. In the early 2000's internet explorer was very popular then it was overtaken by firefox between 2005-2006 and as of today chrome is moving so fast that probably it will equal or even beat firefox before the year ends. I'm still using firefox most of the time but I use chrome in mylotting.

I too use chrome for mylotting and Firefox for all my other web stuff. As i said, i prefer the Firefox just because of the master password protection. Also the big base of addons available for anything and everything you love to do with the browser. Its time for chrome to wake up and at the least match up all the features their competition is providing.

I don't know if Chrome will overtake Firefox. The reason people like Chrome is that it's fast and simple. So was Firefox a couple of years ago, yet with the updates, it's become more complicated and slower. If Chrome overtakes it, it will go the same way eventually, because everyone wants a browser that can do it all, but doesn't slow down doing it. I think that's impossible. Firefox is still a good browser. I've tried Chrome and while I like it, it just won't do the things I need it to do. IE is the worst browser ever, especially since the last update. It won't even let me put my own html page as my homepage on it - says it's not a web page. D'uh. It's on my computer, not the internet. Every other browser lets me use it.

Definitely - chrome is easy to use and quite user friendly. We can just type the keyword on the address bar to get the search results. Personally, my experience with chrome is pretty good.
