That bugs alot people! I don't because I just don't care to! I don't see the big deal and I am getting older! So I don't! I am lucky if some of my family memebers do remember and the people at work give me a cake! That is all I expect and want! If someone wants to take me out and celebrate I would! It may never happen but at least it doesn't bother me if it doesn't! I don't think I am missing out on anything either! It's my chioce! I wish some people would understand this!

I don't understand , but I do respect your decision.I don't know your birthday and after reading this , I'm glad I don't know it. See I am one of those who would wish you a happy birthday Every year. I would ask what are you doing? What cake are you going to have? See like a ditz , I don't see it as the person getting older, but as the day the person was born! Their day! It is the one day in my family where you got to plan and do what you want to do. Age and the year is never mentioned. my ritual is to order my cake and go to my favorite restaurant. I may get gifts or not. But dinner and cake happens! So My wish for all my friends is that they get the joy of each bithday without the age thing getting in the way. So I can't understand not having thr joy of celebrating your day. But I do respect your choice.

The last party I had was my 13th and it ended badly. I prefer to go out to have my favorite meak and then have cake. But it is still my day.

I feel when you get a certian age birthdays get childress for some. I also know people who demand a party every year! I'm not that way! As long as a cake is made for me at work,my friends don't forget and some of my family remembers I am ok with that! When I grew up my mom made a cake for me every year. I got a present or 2. no real party except when I was 6. So theses are som eof the reasons birhtdays of mine aren't celebrated.

I don't celebrate my birthday and I have never. It is just that I don't have time for it and whenever it passes, I only receive messages plus small presents. But arranging for a birthday party, I consider it a wastage of money and time

I think the older I get the more I think some people demand people to celebrate with them and to get them presents! Some people are very selfish! when I was growing up I remeber only one birthday party my parents had for me! I think that has something to why I hate celebrating birthday's!

Me, either. I seldom celebrate my birthday. As Chinese think birthday is the day on which moms suffer a painful day, so I rarely celebrate it. But most people like to celebrate theirs birthday with friends. Is it really a happy thing? I doubt it! What do you think?

I don't celebrate mine, either. I tend to ignore it, although I'll admit to being a little hurt when no one even says "Happy Birthday." Last year was a bummer because my older daughter was here from out of state and everyone gathered at my house. My son was the only one who even remembered and he brought me a card. I wondered later if he thought we were gathering for my birthday because they didn't stay long after that. Who knows...

I would be crushed if no one said Happy Birthday to me on my birthday! Luckly that has not happen in a long time! With young people now a days it is go out to the bars and get drunk! That is not for me anymore and this is one reason I rather not celebrate my birthday!

Everyone knows I don't drink and that isn't an issue, at least with my family. Some of the younger ones think that's the way to celebrate anything, though, even weddings.

Yea, its what people who's birthday it is. My brother is the same way. He doesn't expect anything. I, in the other hand like it when they do something. I either appreciate if they take me out to eat with all the cousins or have a little bbq at home where the whole family comes over. Ever since I was a kid, I would always like the family be reunite.

My family doesn't live near by. We get together on hoildays but not birthdays! If my friends at work didn't make me a cake and get me a card I would be pissed off! I had least know they would remember! I can't say that my family! Most of them forget! happens ever year!

I do not celebrate birthdays either because it is just going to be a big reminder that another year of my life has ended. In fact, I keep it a secret and most people do not know the date. I remember one time I went to this office and I handed my documents to this lady and she just said 'oh tomorrow is your birthay'. I did not even remember it was till she mentioned it. Needless to say I was not that happy with the reminder I got.

Getting older is another reason I don't like to celebrate my birthday! I hate being reminded how old I am getting! If I did all the people,I know, who celebrate their birthday go out to the bars and get drunk! I would not for me!

Given a choice, I wouldn't celebrate my birthday with other people too! I might treat out myself and the kids with a nice dinner, or a trip for a couple of days, once every few years, but I don't want to have to celebrate it regularly. Unfortunately (or fortunately), my son's birthday falls on the same day as mine. So, there would always be a celebration on my birthday. But not necessarily mine. And sometimes, as an afterthought, people would remember that it's my birthday too.

In my family we have three gneration born on the same day! My dad,my sister and her oldest grandchild! The 1st birthday for Evan, the first great-grand child, the family celebrated all three birthdays on the same day! Other then that my family usually just celebrates by themselves on their birthdays, with their kids and spouses. I got a cake on every birthday growing up but no real celebration except on my 6th birthday. So this is one reason I don't care or want to celebrate my birthday every year! It isn't me!

I celebrate my birthday by myself. It was last week and there was not one phone call. I went shopping a few days before my birthday and I bought myself some gifts and some treats and I cooked my favourite dinner and had it with a glass of sparkling rose. I'd love a cake and a few cards...it seems the older I get the more I disappear.

I hope I never disappear! Sometimes I feel like it has happen to me in other ways but I am glad people do remember my birthday! I just don't think going out and doing something on my birthday. I always thought it was childress to celabrate a birthday as an adult!

Birthdays are no big deal for me. As long and friends and some of my family do I am fine! I truely believe some people demand to have a party every year! I grew up thinking after 18 birthdays were childress! Everyone is different!

Yeah I think that is a choice and depends totally on the person. My choice is to celebrate it every year. That is the time of the year we are all together, my friends and family, and celebrate. I absolutely love celebrating and love the feeling I get being with the people that matters to me :) It is just such a lovely feeling.

I am 18 years old and I always celebrate my birthday ! After all it's once a year and we have only one life ! Respect it ! Firstly I think we should celebrate it because that way you can call friends and make some kind of relationships when they bring friends of there own ! Secondly in that day everyone respects you and you have a great fun ! Third, you are the center of attention, like people say, you are in the middle of the lights ! Cheeers !

As I have gottan older the more I have not thought of celebrating! In some ways I think celebrating a birthday every year is childress and so many people demand it! That is not me! In so many ways it is just a normal day!

i believe your parents will remember your birthday even though they don't give present. and some of your friends will remember it too and they will say happy birthday to you. you can say you don't care if nobody remember your birthday but i believe in the deepest of your heart you are wishing your parents and your friends will say happy birthday to you.

I don't get birthday wishes from my parents. My mom has been gone since 1995 and my dad is 87. He rarely remembers my birthday! Same goes with the rest of my family! If I was totaly forgotten on my birthday I would be so pissed off and that has happen in the past! That really sucks!

I rarely celebrate, too. Hmmm... But, I think my father will allow me to make some party one years later. On my birthday, the happiest things is the gift and pray, my friends give to me. I like it. I have ever see a drama, it tells that we shouldn't happy if we celebrate our birthday because it means that our lifetime span will reduce. We should be happy because we can still live here, and do whatever we like. :)

Getting older has alot of why celebrating my birthday is not what I want to do! I see so many young people do it and to me it comes off as selfish and demanding! I don't do that and won't! If I was not rmemembered at all on my birthday then I would not be happy!
